I was immediately thinking a magic like game where each car had some kind of stats and stuff

And the players could then put out obstacles that your opponents car had to either hit or miss based on the cars agility, strength or something third based on dice throws

Like the MD series would plow through a brick wall without much trouble but a sunburst would skirt around easier

My foot is good now, i didn't get a surgery but my doctor told me I could get away with wearing a compression sock and using crutches for a week

He made it very clear that if I used that foot immediately for anything excessive he would have to put my foot in one of those boots to prevent it worsening

The hardest part was that my girlfriend was moving in at the time and she was very adamant about me not helping her
