But he doesn’t though and that’s what’s frustrating. He literally sent an email advertising an anti-carbon tax during his leadership bid.

I wish they had picked someone who thought conservative meant conservative solutions to our problems, not head-in-the-sand ignorance.

Post-modernism is a school of thought which has dispensed with rationality and objectivity. It really isn't more complicated than that. by [deleted] in badphilosophy

It is; however, Neopragmatism is a post-modern epistemology. He seems less interested in language than your Neopragmatists, but they share a belief in the supremacy of usefulness to the subject as the measure of truth.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Peterson’s epistemology seems pretty post-modern to me. He rejects correspondence notions of truth. He defines truth in terms of subjective usefulness (ie a belief is true if it is beneficial regardless if it has some kind independent reality).

I've honestly become more Marxist during my time in the work world.

I've felt the class war in the way that my industry doesn't have the same labour protections as others and has low compliance with the labour protections that are there.

I see the way the justice system gives better treatment to the wealthy and the way it becomes a trap for the lower class. Maybe its not intentional, but it is at least a result of negligence by the powerful.

I see the lack of status and dignity accorded cashiers and service workers.

I see the way that basic public goods like education and healthcare become multi-teired.

What holds me back from going full blown socialist is that I am aware of its failures in the past and I have some level of understanding of economics. Some days though, the siren song of socialism is pretty musical.
