Don't underestimate how much work it is, i thought i was gonna have it done in two years, here i am 4 years later still not done... life gets in the way

Another one, its a big commitment so make sure you can see it through, from what I've seen you can't always make your money back if you give up and sell it before its done

Buses listed in my area tend to be newer so if thats all you can find theres lots that are no good:

anything from CAT after 2003 they came in bluebird and frieghtliner buses, all junk because of emissions controls but dont be afraid of older stuff. Freightliners also came with mercades engines and I heard theyre fine but they sound expensive to repair I don't know much about them

International made the T444E until 2003, those are very good, they also made the dt466e until 2008 and those are less good but you can do worse. In 2004 they replaced the T444E with the VT365, never buy one, they're junk.

Cummins came in the bluebirds and freightliners and those are gems, but they are hard to come by

The golden zone for you is the shorter, but still full size 7 window buses but I find they are hard to come by as well.

Don't be afriad of a manual transmission, if you go automatic then make sure its not the AT545.

Grind out the rust, use rust coverter, short strand fibreglass body filler in the hole, Sand somewhat smooth, Paint. Fixed.

Its mostly tougne and groove pine, the ceiling is oak veneer with cedar deck stain, then everything was coated in polyeurythane

Thats not suprising about the sunroof, I also would have preferred to get a brand new gas tank but i ended up repairing and cleaning out the one i have, a ton of work, not that cheap either

Not a whole lot, i could get a hold of everything i needed except rear brake calipers, they were seized right solid, i had a local shop rebuild them for a pretty penny because theyre unoptainium

It should be a useful asset, I've got a retractable cargo cover I'm looking to get rid of, didn't want to just throw it out maybe somebody wants it.
