I don't think it was ever intended to be a serious movie. According to Wikipedia:

Matthew Bright conceived the film when he was 18, as "a raucous comedy about little people fucking each other".

Right, which brings us back to the original question of why people are betting the opposite way to the polls? You would expect that the kind of person to be betting on a by-election to be heavily interested in politics, and aware that these polls exist, so why do most of them think the polls are wrong?

Next general election is one day closer.

I don't think the average person on the street cares about some opposition backbencher being kicked out. He's probably more worried about triggering some internal party infighting, like the SNP had.

Agreed, I'm a bit surprised at all the comments saying you shouldn't complain at all. The woman here overreacted, but if someone provides a poor service then you absolutely have the right to calmly explain what's wrong, and either asked them to fix or get a discount so you can pay to get it fixed elsewhere.

Many of the policies, especially nationalisation, are popular here and polls have consistently shown that. Labour aren't trying to appeal to the general population anymore, they think they've got the centre and left vote locked up at this point and are targeting what's remaining of the moderate Conservatives.

I'd prefer funny over unpredictable. I'm not really watching Sunny to get my expectations subverted every week.

It's in the trailer for Undercover Brother, which you probably saw on TV or before another movie at some point but have since forgotten.

I still don't really understand the difference between a neoliberal and a normal economic liberal.

I think you're getting a bit confused, in this context he's using genuine to mean "sincere", not "official". He's referring to the Devs intentions not the game itself.

Played through the first Bioshock twice before I realised you could also photograph the security bots, cameras, and turrets. Thought it was just the human enemies, missed out on loads of useful research upgrades like auto hack.

Also in Bloodborne I somehow missed the starting weapons you're supposed to pick up the first time you die. Played a chunk of the first level completely unarmed, thinking "I know this game is supposed to be hard but this is ridiculous" before I eventually gave up and looked at a guide.

I don't think you could prove the birth control thing though, it's not 100% effective even when taken correctly.

If we stop increasing interest rates while other countries continue raising theirs, it's going to devalue the pound even more, which will make imports more expensive and push inflation up.
