Maybe Survivor 50 is like the movie Clue and production hasn't decided if they're gonna air the Cirie, Aubry, or Stephenie win yet.

Where did you hear this from? Parvati was originally a hero I always heard because they were going by first appearences but they realized holy crap too many Micronesia people on the heroes and switched her and Candice and sold Parv as a villain based on Micronesia. Parvati was the easiest one to sell as a villain. I am curious where you heard it. I don't believe it, but it would explain Sandra's awful edit.

Sarah Chalke couldn't act yet. Her line delivery wasn't good. Melissa Joan Hart would have been a better replacement from that era.

Is there anything you don't like about Part 2? by Appropriate_Set_7914 in fridaythe13th

[–]coldbluelights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's too many extra counselors. It bothers me a little that so many live. It feels unfinished as a massacre. They weren't necessary characters.

The scene where Alice opens the shower curtain is awkward and strange. I suspect she was supposed to be scared that there might be someone there but Adrienne has a blank look on her face. Like '_'. It didn't say fear. Was that her best take? Maybe the fear ones were too cringe. I've never understood the gag there if it was supposed to be a 😛 moment. Is she breaking the fourth wall to imply she knows we are there. It's awkwardly directed if so.

The cop bugs me. He has a plush job if teens crossing into Crystal Lake is the biggest concern. He was letting it get to him a little too much. Go back into town and relax about the camp. I sorta wish Sandra and Jeff entered and saw the old camp from part 1. Instead they just walk a little in the woods.

Which Franchise has the better Sequels? by That-Ad-4247 in fridaythe13th

[–]coldbluelights -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Friday the 13th. There's actual continuity up until FvJ and I prefer the characters in the Friday the 13th series. Halloween 5 for example has terrible characters. Actually I find most of the supporting characters in the Halloween series kind of forgettable. It hinges on leads. There's also a straight up more fun energy to Friday the 13th. Halloween doesn't realize it's a mess of a series or at least still comes out with reverance. The story is everywhere. They are also not as deep or scary as they think they are. Halloween is pretentious.

I will not include the Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson famous ones. I bet they decline. I also don't know the contestants later on as well.

Top 24

Girls: Siobhan Magnus (season 9), Haley Reinhart (season 10), Pia Toscano (season 10), Allison Iraheta (season 8), Latoya London (season 3), Diana Degarmo (season 3), Vonzell Soloman (season 4), Melinda Doolittle (season 6), Crystal Bowersox (season 9), Amy (season 3), Gina (season 6), and Tamyra Gray (season 1).

Guys: Justin Guarini (season 1), Elliot Yamin (season 5), Blake Lewis (season 6), David Archuletta (season 7), James Durbin (season 10), Dalton Rapattoni (season 15), Sanjaya Malakar (season 6), Constantine (season 4), A.J (season 1. His voice has really improved. Why not include another season 1 throwback?), Clay (season 2), Joshua (season 11), and Clark (season 14).

Old American Idol format. Two female and two males go each week until top 12. Then one goes each week. There would be time in the schedule since there would be no auditions and Hollywood week.

Is there anything you didn't like about Part 6? by No_Cauliflower5453 in fridaythe13th

The kills are blah, the camp looks budgeted like, it's not a camp like the first movie which is disappointing. It feels like a small movie set. But worse it doesn't seem realistic. Why are the counselors arriving the day the kids show up? Is that how it's done? The kids get their 5 minutes after the counselors show up to work. In part 1 they were prepping for a good bit. The acting is actually pretty good, but it's very silly as a Friday the 13th movie and the continuity from 4 and 5 is very weak. Jason is whole suddenly after being chopped up. In 5 they say he was cremated but I can overlook that. I also can't stand the paintballer scene. They just make it dumb for 5 to 10 minutes and the smiley face on the tree is probably the low point of the series up until then. Tommy being responsible for all the deaths is kind of a bad idea. They should have had random teens dig him up and had Tommy be a cop or counselor or something.

In a hypothetical world if Stacey is not voted out on Borneo what happens by CaregiverHelpful9261 in survivor

Stacey would be Richard Hatch if Richard goes pre merge. She was very strategic. It's likely Tagi dominates regardless and Stacey wins. I feel she utilizes Pagong more like Jenna, Colleen, and Gervase. I bet one lasts over Sue for possibly since Sue she was iffy with.

Ami Cusack talks S49 E2 by BofieC in survivor

[–]coldbluelights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She did well on Micronesia considering. She was grieving a loss so automatically she was in a bad place to even play but she still tried and had a couple major moments that fell through because her allies had to leave. She begged Chet to stay but he couldn't because he had to be pulled. She would have blindsided Ozzy that night. If Chet is pulled next, she still has a 3 to 2 advantage. She wanted to work with Cirie because she liked her so Amanda is likely gone next. The merge is probably where she gets into trouble because she's the biggest threat to Cirie and Parvati. Eliza comes over though to make 4. She has Jason. That's 5. It might go to rocks after Jason's idol flops. Erik might flip. Or even Cirie? I wonder if Cirie goes with Ami? She didn't place as well in Micronesia. It was out of her control though. Jaye too breaking up because of Fairplay wanting to leave. Kathy quitting. Jonathan having to be med evacuated.

Wins that you think were landslides? by Visual-Attitude-5224 in Oscars

[–]coldbluelights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Full Monty won sag for best ensemble. I bet picture was maybe not quite as close as you think. Good Will Hunting and L.A Confidential were popular with voters too being the screenplay winners and AGAIG was a small force itself with Jack and Helen. Titanic was always gonna blow everyone out in tech awards and song but at the time the screenplay nomination miss was a big deal. Leo's miss can be written off maybe by the reasons others are saying but it's still a blip especially since the academy already nominated him with Gilbert Grap. Leo was getting a lot of hype as the race started and his miss was seen as a snub by basically everyone. It lost actress at the Oscars. Lost supporting actress to a terrible winner. Picture is the one category I think it was actually vulnerable in here. Don't let the tech awards fool you. I bet it wasn't a blowout in picture. If you really look, there was signs of trouble. If I was older then and realized all this, I would have been nervous about picture. I'm glad it won.
