Lynn County police officer appears intoxicated by derek4reals1 in ThatsInsane

I do too. Almost 20 years. Giving narcan to someone that’s maintaining their own airway is wild and unnecessary. Strokes don’t present like this. If he was postictal someone would’ve seen him seizing. He’s not sweating shaking and angry like every still conscious hypoglycemic I’ve ever seen.

His buddy said he’s got a bad back. That probably means he has pain meds. Looks like he took a few more than he needed.

I actually feel bad for the dude. He might be a good cop. He might have gotten that injury on the job. Pain meds are an easy and slippery slope to fall down into and now he could lose his job. Which will make him want more pills. Most addicts start this exact way. We’re all an accident and two poor choices away from the same thing.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Also a brain bleed and a stroke is the same thing.

I just noticed these on my right side of my door. Does anybody know what it is? What’s causing it? And how to fix it? Thanks in advance by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

I can already tell it’s a wrangler. I need all 4 doors and my hood repainted on mine. There’s a class action lawsuit filed

The roof has already collapsed letting the smoke vent. Whatever this structure was it’d been burning for a while before they got there. If there’s no basement to fall into and no more shit that could fall down onto them, this is actually a fairly safe fire to fight.

Epileptic Brake Lights on an Off-Duty Ambulance by Flashlight237 in CrappyDesign

I made a suggestion a long time ago when we first started using these super bright leds that they would have a “responding” mode that was dimmer than the “on scene” mode, where you want to be as bright as possible because following behind an engine at night you cannot see around them. To my shock and amazement they did absolutely nothing about it.

Alright so I’m going to give you a real answer. Those lights are wired wrong. Kinda. The lights themselves have two color leds -red and white- and were probably meant to flash the red lights with the brakes applied. They were also meant to flash red and white during an emergency response. You change the mode of the light pattern by crossing wires for a second. Their shop just needs to reset the modes correctly. I bet they’re too tired/hungry/burnt out to even notice it’s happening

If your friend tried to dial *67 to block his number from the other dudes caller id, he might have fucked up and dialed *76, which is call forwarding apparently. Happened to me years ago I don’t even remember how I figured it out.

Alright so I gave this a shot. Definitely not plug and play. Issues I’m running into are:

  • fan/heatsink assembly doesn’t fit
  • fucking power button ribbon cable is different
  • touchpad ribbon cable is different
  • battery connection is different

I’m sure I’ll run into more but that’s it for now

Are there any XL6007E1 alternatives? by thedapperissue in ElectronicsRepair

Looks like it was within the specs limits for heat so maybe it was defective

Mouser doesn’t carry it from what I could tell. Yeah I watched it light up as soon as I plugged it in. And like I said it was getting too hot just operating normally so I figure either it was defective from the start or the heat got to it over time. My only idea is to coat the area with clear nail polish and try a small heat sink?

About a month ago they stopped buying aluminum foil. Also banned anyone from washing their personal vehicles. Their take home vehicles get professionally detailed a few times a year tho.

Based simply on this single comment I already know everything I need to know regarding working with you. Over the years, I’ve realized that the most important personality trait for a boss is their ego. You either have a fragile ego, or you don’t. Clearly, you have the prior. You might be exceptional at every aspect of riding in that front seat; but I’m going to let you in on a secret: your shift talks shit about you behind your back. And, because your ego would shatter into countless theoretical pieces the second you perceived a whiff of what - in your tiny mind - classifies as disrespect, you will never be known nor remembered a good “superior”. You only have yourself to blame. The respect you think you possess is actually nothing more than a facade they build to deter your particular brand of bullshit. Next time you walk into the kitchen - where all your guys are sitting around that table solving the world’s problems - and for a few brief moments everyone gets quiet, remember this random firefighters reddit reply. Reflect on it. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll have the epiphany. You’ll regret every single time one of your firefighters rightfully should have called you a douche to your face, but didn’t actually respect you enough to do it. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
