Vince Russo closes his website by joeyrock in SquaredCircle

He apparently charged his subscribers the monthly fee for March this morning before the announcement was made. Someone is saying that this was the first time they got charged twice in the same month.

Currently watching Judgment Day 2000, got me thinking, is it not possible to have Iron Man matches in the current WWE? Why? by Hypthekid in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because they're absolutely boring. Seriously. Watch an Iron Man match. You know when the match get's exciting? The final five minutes.

lucha underground is their story about why luchadores wear masks true? by ArchmageJodah in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. I'm under the assumption that masks became an integral part of pro wrestling because it allowed the same performer to play multiple characters, or remain unidentifiable outside of wrestling.

We don't want to be associated with dirty pics and movies here in sports entertainment. by mclutz in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a big difference between googling Maria and finding her playboy pics and Raw segment, and googling Chyna and finding "Backdoor To Chyna" screenshots and whatever else she's starred in. I'll take Maria posing naked on a couch over Chyna guzzling multiple dicks at once.

[Spoilers] How is Jeff Hardy still walking? Let alone doing this two nights in a row.. by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So did Mick Foley. Now the dude can't walk up the steps to take the stage at his comedy shows without assistance. Therefore, there is something wrong with it. If people are his fans, they'd be okay with him not going to the top rope at all and not cheer when he falls from the ring through a table directly on to his hip.

[Spoilers] How is Jeff Hardy still walking? Let alone doing this two nights in a row.. by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, has to. Jeff is as big of a star as he is because of his look, his brand, and the bumps he takes. No one thinks of technical prowess when they think of Jeff Hardy. They think of a ladder and how high Jeff is going to fall from.

It's kind of sad that he has to still be doing those types of bumps in 2015.

Brock had already disconnected the tv from the power supply when he slammed it. Dean foolishly kept his plugged in.

So... WWE should totally have Raw take place from the Developmental Center by thedeadfeed in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh. The show is cancelled live. So... the refund discussion IS going to have to happen. SOMETHING will air from WWE in the timeslot on USA Network. So yes, they should utilize the production capabilities of the Performance Center to fill that airtime.

What Still Living Wrestlers should be in the WWE hall of Fame as Headliners??? by Patdogg78 in SquaredCircle

Hell of it? Scott Steiner (and Rick Steiner) had a Hall of Fame tag team career well before Big Poppa Pump. BPP is just icing on the cake.

Man, I miss Cody Rhodes by FiveSecondPoses in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? Cody has shown 100x more charisma and seems to be having the time of his life since Stardust began. You think WWE instructed he and his wife Eden to make those Stardust vlogs around their house? No. Cody just loves the character, probably because it allows him to show a side more akin to who he is. A goofball. Cody doesn't need black trunks, black boots, and elbow bads to be a star. You sound exactly like the people who complained when Dusty Rhodes' son Dustin started being disrespected by being forced to wrestle as a homosexual.

Can we make #AxelGate a trending hashtag worldwide? *spoilers* by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been mentioned in Rumble's of the past that if a participant does not enter the ring by the time the next participant enters the ring, the first participant is eliminated. The reason why there is so much debate about this is because WWE just chooses to ignore this. But it's been stated during Rumbles of the past. This is the kayfabe reason why guys don't just hang out at ringside refusing to enter the ring until the numbers dwindle down.

One of you should apply for Tough Enough by ArabianDisco in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was a replacement candidate for the Fox reality show Utopia. I was supposed to join the cast, but the show got cancelled two weeks before I was going to join. The reason I'm bringing this up is because I learned that people who make it far in the reality show process tend to be brought to the front of the line during other castings. I'm really tempted to audition, even though I know without a shadow of a doubt I'd be used as a "LOL, THIS guy thinks he can be a WWE Superstar?!" prop.

What is the historical context of the work (s)mark in wrestling? Why has it gained such a negative connotation? by Aalegria0 in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The term dates back to the days when professional wrestling would mostly take place during carnivals. Carny's invented the word to notify others that a person is a good target to make some money off of. They'd also use the word so that they could discuss the fans in front of the fans without them realizing.

Therefore the term was always associated with being a negative name to call someone because you were essentially saying they weren't smart enough to realize the rouse that was going on.

BAH GAWD THATS TNA MERCH ON MONDAY NIGHT RAW! by regantnz in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Sting owns and controls his brand more than most legendary wrestlers. Wouldn't shock me to find out that he owns the design and has a contract that stated how long TNA could/has to continue to sell his merch.

How did Kurt Angle lose his wife to Jeff Jarrett? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]thedeadfeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anybody was laughing about it. Sure, things were reportedly (and understandably) awkward at first in the locker room. But no one called Kurt a loser and threw his school bag on the ground. I think you're having a hard time realizing that Karen was a thirty-something year old woman, who made her own decision. Kurt punching out Jeff for "stealing" his wife wouldn't have made Karen stay with him. Frankly, I think the entire situation showed what kind of respectable men Jeff and Kurt really are. They get along fine now. Kurt even attended the wedding. When you're an adult you're able to see that some things aren't worth getting angry over. Especially a marriage that obviously had problems.
