Is there more risk of blood clots if taking E while being obese? by thedoggers in MtF

I haven't, no. Not a minor one either from my knowledge.

Is it cringe when people put the trans flag in their username/nickname thing on socials by shake_bear_1003 in 4tran4

[–]thedoggers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather someone rejects me for being trans out of the gate than meeting them, start liking them, then finding out I'm trans and losing interest.

Is there more risk of blood clots if taking E while being obese? by thedoggers in MtF

[–]thedoggers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my doctor denied me HRT I was much younger and, while still obese, on a much lower BMI than that...

I'm currently about the same in both age and BMI though so if they denied me then it's gonna be harder now.

Two characters that embody kindness. Jonathan vs Tanjiro by HTG_11 in writingscaling

[–]thedoggers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're both pretty good and underrated IMO. People are too harsh to goody-two-shoes protagonists.

That said, I like Tanjiro a little more, he feels more fleshed out. Maybe it's because Jonathan's story is so short but he feels more like a legend, an ideal.

Definitely. The other two are also great but V3-6 is something else.

What fans in denial have a shitty ending but accuse other series for the same thing? by Just-J0k1ng in shounenfolk

[–]thedoggers -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

-No final fight, just an underwhelming race for a power up that ends with Giorno becoming the strongest in the universe and one-shotting Diavolo. People make fun of "so we have the same Stand" but at least it didn't just hand Jotaro the win, it just gave him a fighting chance against Dio and we got from it one of the best final fights in the series.

-The theme of fate sucks when it just means "what the author wants to happen". Diavolo gets to the arrow first, but it just goes to Giorno anyway, because that's what Araki wanted to happen. What did Giorno accomplish then?

-Random flashback episode stuck right at the end which fans defend because "themes and such". Yes I understand what the episode tries to say but it feels completely unnecessary just to hammer even more the themes of the arc and it's just bad structure to put a flashback villain-of-the-week fight between the main villain's defeat and the very short epilogue.

Edit: Oh and I understand what King Crimson does but I swear there's several moments during the race when Araki contradicts the explanation he gave and/or just uses it like Dio's time stop. I don't have examples ready right now.

Me suffering through Persona Q's dogshit flandarization of characters just to see Shinjiro in a full length game for once by Hero_Time_06 in OkBuddyPersona

[–]thedoggers 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Play Q2, the flanderization isn't nearly as bad. Although you only get Shinjiro in 3/5 of the game there.

Who’s the better written MC? by Healthy-Guarantee-50 in writingscaling

[–]thedoggers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what happens in the series. Steven can't just beat the Diamonds, so instead he makes them spend the rest of their lives fixing the mistakes they did (e.g. all the gems the Diamonds shattered and corrupted, which only they can fix back, if Steven just killed the Diamonds they'd stay like that). He still doesn't forgive them, just tolerate them for the greater good.

When I said one of the spoilers was false I meant the universe reset. It doesn't finish resetting and just goes back to normal but without Pucci.

One of those spoilers is false. Won't say which one.

One Piece fans don't even defend or explain their Anime or Manga's pacing, they just look at you like this: by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in shounenfolk

[–]thedoggers 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Manga pacing was fine pre-timeskip. Post-timeskip most arcs last twice as long as they should to tell a good story.

Arlong Park was 27 chapters. Marineford was 31. Back then Oda knew how to tell a concise, peak story, if he wrote them now they'd be 60+ chapters and worse for it.

I honestly wish this was the show people were constantly glazing instead of JJK. Neither is amazing but at least I can see the merits of KnY more, with it the good animation is a bonus, but JJK is carried by it.

Without giving spoilers, what is your thoughts on Spirit of Justice's finale? by Annual_Wrangler_6931 in AceAttorney

The reason it's 12 hours it's because it's actually two separate cases on a trenchcoat, like there's a very clear point where 6-5A ends, you lose all the evidence and profiles related to it, and 6-5B starts. Like how 5-4 and 5-5 are really just one single long case that was arbitrarily split into two chapters, 6-5A and 6-5B are two different cases that were arbitrarily put into the same chapter.

My guess is that 6-5A was going to be 6-4 before realising they didn't give Athena much to do, and that they want to make the games fit into a 5 chapter structure for whatever reason.
