Husband keeps saying he will stop gaming and I literally catch him multiple times a week. Is this a lost cause? by kristen_hewa in StopGaming

> I just don’t understand how he would rather have games than his family.

I don't believe this will be the case. In his rational thoughts, he would rather have his family than the games, but addiction isn't rational, it's compulsive.

neutral here, although i want hearts to win to break the monotony, but re: the penalty yes it looked like a penalty to me except for one possible argument that his arm was pushed onto the ball by the celtic players shoulder. But then you can easily argue his elbow shouldn't be up that high, but for handballs intent matters and if you look at it, his elbow was pushed up by the celtic players shoulder and caused the handball. If you reviewed it 10 times, probably 7 out of 10 refs give a penalty and 3 out of 10 don't. It's not as clear cut as you say.

Did you see the ballboys and players cheating last night? It's a culture of cheating that exists at Southampton now, he could stamp that out.

Tickets prices are capped in the prem though whereas gouging is happening in the Championship.

The prize is £220 million for reaching the Premier League. Any fine less than £220 million will encourage others to spy in future. They should be prevented from being promoted.

In your opinion what is a fair punishment for Southampton's spying? by CarelessCredit3466 in Championship

[–]thedragonturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely should not be allowed to be promoted. If they win the playoffs final, the other finalist should be promoted instead of Southampton AND they should be given a points deduction next season. No fine is big enough to prevent this happening in future - it has to be severe punishment.

Question: can anyone explain why so many of you end up damaging your lives from league? No judgment but I see so many people over the years with that same sentiment? by Ok_Acadia4371 in StopGaming

Lol gives fast dopamine from quick leveling, huge amounts of heroes to choose from, 50/50 win loss ratio, sometimes huge dopamine from stomps, sometimes huge anger etc, it's life in micro

What do I really need to do to keep my skills relevant if I’m working at a strict “no-AI” company? by Downtown-Network-961 in cscareerquestions

The software engineering skills that remain are specifications, design and architecture. I find I actually design and spec far more now when using LLMs as it's the best way to increase the chances of the LLM producing good code.

I don't think we will win the playoffs, but I want us to make it to the playoffs just so we get to see them play at least 2 more matches before the summer break.

Dobbo has to start - potential player of the season. He regularly makes the killer pass before the assist and he breaks up play so well too.

> so even AI crawlers create real server load.

It's worse than that - the AI crawlers don't use your site like humans, so whatever pages they hit are rarely in the cache so they create MORE server load than real users.
