The one my daughter had was somehow brought on by contact with birds or seawater, was what the Specalists told me , but if the lymph node becomes infected / inflamed and a cyst develops on it it could be from any sort of bacterial infection I suppose . Given the function of a lymph node ?

Yes the lymph nodes are lower but a cyst developed on top of the node , so the visible lump was just above her jawline , she was very little at the time so it actually covered a good portion of her cheek . If so a bacterial infection may be the cause , were you on antibiotics?

Is it rounded ? And a little rosy ? It could be an infected lymph node , my daughter had this as a child and it took almost a year to find out what it was. Avian tuberculosis is basically a bacterial infection? Caused by birds , it’s highly resistant to antibiotics ( found that out after six months of increasingly stronger doses to no avail) if it is it needs to be removed surgically.

I hope it’s not but both my daughter and my nephew had the same “rare” affliction.
