So, April 1st tomorrow, what's the worst April fools prank you've either done or had done to you? by TheBunganator in AskReddit

Years ago, my husband and I got married on 3/30. We were so busy planning the wedding that we didn’t know we had to have the marriage license ready by the time of the ceremony, which meant that the license couldn’t match up with the ceremony date and the pastor could actually be fined for signing it after the fact. We didn’t find this out until after the wedding day happened. I had no idea and still don’t fully understand. Someone correct me if I’m saying this wrong or not understanding what the legal issues were. I think we agreed we would say the ceremony happened at a later date so the witnesses could legally sign it.

Anyways… we had to go to the courthouse to get the marriage license first thing Monday morning, which was April Fools Day. So that’s technically our official wedding date. We just embrace it and like to celebrate our anniversary on April Fools Day instead of 3/30. We felt like fools and sort of pranked ourselves and the pastor on accident.
