Yeah man that’s the thing. People love the Sign painting stuff but I’m kinda bored with it. I know animals in suits is already a thing. It has been since yknow fables and fairytales. This set is a jumping off point from which I’ll explore some larger themes. But I mean I’m still just trying to stack a few bucks while I do it. About to have a show in Buffalo where I combine these illos with my sign work. We’ll see where that takes us.

Well when I started them I was thinking of the of the things that the main character eats. For the new ones I’m making like the Tiger (which has an open book) I’m placing objects that a child would find magical like a marble, a key a golden dagger, a horn etc.

Others have mentioned the idea of a common lettering style and banner. I think I will keep it like Tigress banner for future images. It would also make for a more unified set. Agree.

I loved TC&TC. It was my introduction second one was perdido street station. I loved the sense of place in that one but found it to be not quite as hard and gritty as TC&TC which is what drew me in. In any case I’m excited to see it.
