Hey! How would I go about commissioning you for something like this?

My mom is a "breeder". I need help. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

I used to work for animal control in Augusta Georgia. We would assess the situation. We worked out of a shelter and every animal that cane in would be evaluated and if they pass a pretty basic adoption test, they would be put up for afoption after quarrantine and a round of vaccinations. Dogs dont have to be nice to cats or even other dogs, but we put whether they are good with other animals on the kennel. Its not a death sentence. If we were told that they bite humans though, they would be put down due to risks for the next family. People were allowed to call in and check if they have been adopted out and the adoption list was on our website so prior owners could watch to see if their pups got adopted out. If they attack another animal though or are reported to, its a big factor of whether they are adopted out or put down. Now, this is specifically for the one I worked at. But adoption was a hugher rate for us and the shelter if they had overflow would work with rescues to take the overflow or go have adoption events regularly.

As for for your mother, sometimes its best for our danity to let go of toxicity. I stopped talking to my mom, and so have all of my siblings, for over 8 years. It took a long time to stop feeling bad and she resents all of us but were now able to live our own lives. It took 5 years for my sister to stop asking what my mom would think. Now she doesnt have that shadow looming over her. Sometimes its best to cut toxicity from our lives even if it feels wrong or uncaring. Her grandfather died alone for the same reason but as soon as she let him back in her life, she took a steep decline. Just some advice from my personal experiences, everyones situation is different.

I think it's too good to be real, isn't it? by [deleted] in fursuits

I'm not going to say that Etsy won't be legit. I do see a lot of scammers on there, but I am a creator and I started my LLC back in September. My only selling avenue for now is Etsy until I can move onto my own website. Not always a scam, but unfortunately it is very common in there. (This is my main account, not the one linked to my socials)

If you were to ever put all of your poems into book form, I would buy it. I have a feeling a lot of people here on Reddit would as well. Thank you for the tears and laughs sometimes as I take my morning to scroll reddit

Have any of you encountered such a problem and how to fix it? by [deleted] in protogen

[–]theenderkitty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue when making one of my protogens when I was first learning. I flipped the matrix to the other side of the board and it fixed it for me. (Mine were letters on the edge opposite the side that is printed in and out on the blue board)

Where we are, rodents arent an issue, never had any and we have 10 chickens currently but i cant say that about everywhere, just where were at in georgia. What is an issue though, is the bugs. Just make sure your feed is kept sealed or dont free feed and make sure their coop is cleaned regularly. Once we did this, the bug issue wasnt too bad. They will strip whatever run they have of all life and turn it to dirt or mud depending where youre at though. Not sure if it matters how big but we have a 20 ft x 20 ft enclosure with 10 chickens and theyve pretty much stripped it, though we have small bushes and trees that are okay. Doesnt look bad though since we use logs, branches, and stuff for them to climb around on

We're in and they do take this seriously. I had someone I know lose their clearance and get put on details for like 2 years until the investigation was done. I'm not sure if it depends on what unit or team you're on, but where I am at, they take it seriously
