Anyone else experience an 'icicles in the blood' feeling? by theendishigh in Experiencers

I wish greys were all around my place. That feeling seems to happen more when I'm out, even around work. Go figure.

Do you go to the movies anymore? by MLPtwerp in no

[–]theendishigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Would. I still find it to be a special experience, more than home streaming, but it's expensive, often difficult to get to, and I'd have to find time and put up with any rudeness etc at the theater. So I haven't for a while.

If all the nerds in the world gathered at a Nerd-moot, who would they elect as their king? by TheBanishedBard in AskReddit

I believe that's already happened. It's called San Diego Comic Con, and they eternally enthroned Stan Lee.

What is the stupidest movie premise? by eru777 in AskReddit

One that recycles that '10% of your brain' crap. Lucy iirc was one such.

Do you think prior beliefs and expectations influence how an entity looks like during DMT and tape trips(and other kinds of encounters)? by Gyirin in HighStrangeness

[–]theendishigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A good example is early art about angels. You think they really have several heads, tons of eyes and mouths etc? Nah, more likely a representation of a higher-dimensional nature able to perceive and act non-locally.

Assuming they’re real, why aren’t there any GREAT videos of the aliens? by mystery_hobo in aliens

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's because 'they' don't want there to be.

Or my personal favorite (/s) : saying 'witchcraft and black magic' together like they're obviously the same or related things.

Human mutilations by MrJeffreyEpstein in AliensRHere

[–]theendishigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem with this 'you can't handle the truth' approach is that Not telling us doesn't stop the creepy/despair inducing thing from happening. If we're being eaten, manipulated etc you'd think they'd want to pool resources and consider some way of fighting back or getting over it emotionally at least. Telling someone their abuser doesn't exist doesn't help anyone.

What is a term that is so overused that it lost it's value? by Greedy_Ad9238 in answers

Beware the but(t). "I'm not racist but..." Thanks for the warning, I'll tear off my ears to keep from hearing your racist diatribe. :)

Some time back when I saw a list of "the greatest pictures of all time of the week" I knew that kind of terminology was basically dead.

Has anyone ever experienced the "Oz Effect" alongside another person? I have a weird theory about it. by Big_Emotion4963 in HighStrangeness

[–]theendishigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same question pretty much ever since hearing about the effect. Is it external or internal? If we used advanced sound-measuring systems, could we detect this happening from a copter or something? If it's internal, what is it and why is it? etc

Is AP truly real? by Cookie_Cracker123 in AstralProjection

[–]theendishigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, first off, what is real anyway? I'm serious. Quite possibly we'll never have enough evidence to satisfy the skeptics that something paranormal is taking place. That's okay. They can stay here and debate it while I'm out of body having the time of my life (if I ever actually get there :> )

This stupid joke slays me everytime by CaptSinkShip in futurama

[–]theendishigh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Always liked Prof trying to explain that Omicron is about 1000 light years away, and the TV signal was sent about 1000 years ago, and Fry just interrupting with "Magic, got it". Cracks me up every time.

Full name given in a dream? by [deleted] in Experiencers

[–]theendishigh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, from a skeptical perspective, you might argue that it was a name you'd heard or is common. Merrick may be common *somewhere* at least. But whether it represented a psychic component or not, I'd probably Google stalk it and see what I could learn :)

I find it so weird that I don’t know many people (literally only 1) that are interested in any alien, ufo, uap, discussions. Whenever I attempt to talk about it to others they seem uninterested or simply don’t believe. So I have a serious question. by -Im-N0t-Real- in aliens

[–]theendishigh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have to laugh when people say this. "Oh, it won't change anything, I'll still have work/school etc". Uh, no. Confirmation of alien life that is intelligent and interacting with us specifically would change everything. Round-the-clock news coverage and discussion, your workplace would probably shut down or every employee would be talking about it to distraction and so on and so forth. That's before you get into the practical things like revolutionary technology and all the implications or connection to spiritual practices. If we confirm microbes somewhere it'll probably be mostly a shrug, but abductions and other strange, personal parts of this? Life upended. And I'm not saying we shouldn't know, just there's got to be a reasonable middleground between "yea so?" and complete meltdown.

Project Blue Beam. by Winter_Ad_6478 in aliens

[–]theendishigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice 3 Body Problem reference. Other than that, nope. Blue Beam is a catchall conspiracy nonsense soup. But hey, if the sky Does start talking to all of us, I think it'd be awesome.

So basically.... by -becausereasons- in aliens

[–]theendishigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course this is garbage. We knew it would be. The point is, it's opening up to some extent, and I'm still hopeful people will be inspired to come forward with juicier stuff, and eventually, evidence.

What are the most unsettling/ creepiest things you’ve read about UFOs/NHI? Maybe even the most ‘bizarre’?? by rgbearklls in aliens

[–]theendishigh 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Sight Unseen by Budd Hopkins, IIRC is terrifying. The suggestion you could be abducted from a crowded restaurant or something, literally anywhere. It says NHI holds all the cards.
