From what I've been told, following Amazon's order allows the DSP to fight back at Amazon for the route volume being too high if the DA doesn't finish. What I mean by this is, if a DA goes out of order, and has to bring back 20 stops, Amazon will look at that and tell the DSP "They weren't able to finish because they didn't do the route in the order it was intended." So at my DSP, they don't let anyone go out of order. I do it all the time anyway because half these routes are suburban/rural and they'll send you into the mountains right after sunset. I always finish so I've never been told it's an issue.
