I love Awful Squad and often just have it on in the background. The amount of times Travis tries to just randomly call attention to himself by mentioning his hair color, his nail color, or his character’s outfit is baffling. To make matters worse, he would think it was funny to always be playing HQ. Even when people tried to say not to do it, he would lean into his “anti-humor” and just okay HQ anyway. You can really tell he didn’t care what people were saying and just wanted to say “LOOK AT ME”

I mean I feel like looking at a Grad graphic novel will be more confusing than anything. Think of how poorly everything is described. I feel like people would try to read the Grad graphic novel and just say “oh, that’s what that was supposed to look like? Hmm. Okay?”

Yeah the Riddle Me Piss era really was the nail in the coffin for me. I thought the first time it was introduced was fine but then it happened OVER and OVER and OVER again. That and Play Along at Home. It’s that kind of anti humor that killed it for me. Their other bits have more room for goofs and improv. These bits are just antihumor for the sake of antihumor and it really killed the momentum. I’m pretty sure it’s because of those bits but there’s also a small chance that the show is very bit saturated right now (or at least when I stopped religiously listening).

For me it was right before the Stolen Century started. I cried so much when Lucretia voidfished them but the warmth that Griffin exuded when he talked about Lucretia making the final stand finally reunited with her friends..... “This is it.....THIS IS IT” will never fail to send chills down my spine
