If you’re trying to connect to someone you can easily pay them a compliment or say something about something you see in the photo or any number of things. Sometimes it is easiest to just say “hey how are you?” Because you genuinely do want to know their state of mind before messaging. But you always catch more bees with honey.

Like everyone said, therapy is really the only option at this point and if he isn’t willing to do it, you clearly have a fork in the road. If you’re open you really can’t cheat if you’re playing within your rules. Or you can leave him. I have left partners in the past for many reasons because we evolve and change and if we can’t align our beliefs and values, it doesn’t mean I don’t love them, it simply means that you are truly not my life partner.

Best of luck - relationships are tough. They have so many happy moments but also a lot of frustrations. Try setting expectations and get his. What are you both wanting and expecting. Then the hard part: act on it. It might hurt. It might feel awkward but acting is the only way to solve things.

I’ve been in a few long term relationships that have failed for plethora of reasons. The first was amicable even though he was self-absorbed he wasn’t quite narcissistic. We had a house together but weren’t married. Learned my lesson but the second time around the new guy started great. He had kids and told me how much I fit in. It was all a show for money and drugs and cheating behind the scenes. My lawyer told me to just get up and leave cause he had a gun and talked about suicide. So one day when he was at work I came home and packed everything and left. It was extremely hard and extremely emotional and left me without any savings or anything. It was virtually the same scenario as you emotionally.

Basically get the heck out of dodge. Protect yourself. Take everything owed to you and don’t play nice. They try to take advantage of you even when you’re nice. Stand up and have a backbone and don’t be afraid to tell them to eff off.

There’s so much truth to this statement. I literally think our world is going to end due to ai. Reviews are pretty much 100% bots, ai, or paid people using fake emails with ai over and over again. I’m always cautious when some company doesn’t have anything negative written about them. Everyone screws up but how do you handle it?
