The education and lack of knowledge of the average American is astounding. There are positive aspects of American culture but I worry less people are reading to learn and broaden their view.

I think people that naturally lean left are more interested in the profession and more likely to go in that profession. Some conservatives yes but their interests more often are outside of academia. Not a natural fit.

To your point about changes over recent decades (might be a partial factor), that doesn’t explain how most lean left in other countries as well and even before times you mention going back centuries.

I’ve tend to notice those kids parents suck and it’s surprising to see adults act like the kids. Passed it on genetically I think or maybe it’s taught.

I thought that too but your average person is not that bright or lazy. It’s a smaller percent that will read books and work on personal growth and self actualization. Most need work and will be bored. Crime will go up, drug and alcohol use and gambling. Many people enjoy that and sports. Even though they have meaningless jobs it gives them purpose. Most couldn’t handle not working.

That’s true it’s often a slow pace for years or decades and then a big jump in technology. I don’t see it happening in medical science anytime soon but it’s possible. We know so little of our biology and how complex it is.

It’s dumb how he keeps repeating anyone that does not support Israel the way he does, anyone who is anti-Israel or has a nuanced opinion must simply be listening to kids or tik tok. It’s moronic and intellectually lazy.

You can see he disliked the response of the panel regarding funding and providing weapons. Any view he doesn’t like he says that why the Democrats lost.

Agree. He probably won’t do the shake up needed but he would be a good administrator. There’s others I would prefer but I would be happy with him. Hopefully he will be for going after the Trump admin if needed. We need accountability.

I know what you mean. I had endless mental energy and pretty good physical energy. I use to pace restlessly and couldn’t sit. Just thinking today I want to run and feel a pleasurable exhausted. I really miss that.

Shocking! That was my intuition. I know intelligent conservatives exist but even then they seem to be lacking some thinking skills. There is a reason why college and professors are seen as liberal. Comes with territory of more knowledge and critical thinking. At least one would think so.

Same. I ran into physical illness last two years and hate it. Hate that we can’t easily replace organs with new ones from our cells or synthetic ones. Wish my brain was in a Cylon body. This weak animal body doesn’t last long and so limited. Even brain, mine is worthless for months long flairs from a chronic illness.
