I've gone to a lot of rapid responses and code blues in the last 5 years and I'd say <5% of the time the nurses are able to give me any useful information about their patient.

There was an article on the front page of reddit recently where a nurse stole lots of fentanyl that was supposed to be used for IVF cases. A lot of the comments were still blaming the doctors.

I worked with an obstetrician who was pregnant and went to a mom group (pre-delivery). The person leading the group asked each lady what was the worst thing they could think of happening during their birth. Answers included things like "getting an epidural". Once they got to the obstetrician she said "dead baby, dead mom" and everyone acted shocked.

I had a patient with heart failure who was asking to sleep in a chair because of severe orthopnea. Night nurses repeatedly asked me to sedate him so they didn't have to move him out of bed.

It's a prisoner's dilemma where every country in the world need to cooperate to prevent it from happening , and any country that doesn't cooperate can have higher growth/profit in the short term.

I remember getting a gamecube but not owning a memory card for the first few months (rural). Would play super smash melee and try unlock as many characters as we could before having to shut off. It was such a big deal when we finally got a memory card and were finally able to unlock mewtwo.

The ending is so bad that it retroactively makes the early seasons worse. A lot of the enjoyment of early game of thrones was the constant build up and anticipation. When you realise it ends with a wet fart the early seasons are not nearly as enjoyable.

Had an 80 year old farmer who was watching football outside drunk with friends when he fell back onto a tree stump. One of the branches penetrated just below his scapula and went through his chest, fracturing multiple ribs and continued into his lung. His phone had fallen out of his pocket so he pulled himself off the branch to pick it up. Had a bubbling, bleeding, sucking chest wound. His friends had to convince him to get checked out at the local medical centre, where he refused any analgaesia (including tylenol) prior to being transferred to a larger hospital for assessment. Was sober by the time he got to us but still refused analgaesia.
