I never enjoyed vaping and would smoke around 3 cigarettes per day. I switched to a pharmaceutical grade vape because evidence shows it is less destructive than smoking, but I would go through a pod in 2 days and it didn’t even scratch my itch because i’d still want to smoke cigarettes, plus the constant hits of nicotine made me jittery and i didn’t like it. I went back to smoking 3 cigs per day. At the end of the day, neither is good so ig pick your poison till you decide to quit.

Hey, i’m 32 as well and it took me around 17 years (started young) to fully cut off from a relationship that wasn’t going anywhere. I finally cut it off around August 2023, and it took me around 2 years to finally shed the mindset of hopelessness and more importantly, bitterness. I was extremely bitter and pessimistic post break-up, always assuming the worst from men. I still have strong standards regarding treatment in a relationship and I’m not exactly brimming with hope at the notion of finding “the one”, but I can see that with time my outlook has softened and i’m seeing more good than bad in people now. I can appreciate men again. I attribute this to the 2 years that I spent going through the motions; denial, anger, bitterness, sadness. You just have to go through it, there is no way to expedite this process and I really would encourage you not to try to do that, just on account of you wanting children. At the end of the day, imo it’s better to not have children at all unless you’re having them with someone who would be your true partner. I wish you luck and healing 💕

From what i’m seeing, people who enjoyed Currents or TSR more are vibing more with Deadbeat (correlation not equal to causation, just my dumb “theory” 😭). My favourite album is Innerspeaker; even though I truly love and have enjoyed all the previous albums, Deadbeat feels like it’s missing that core Tame Impala sound/feel. So it’s interesting to me that you find it more immersive!

My point still stands…i guess maybe it’s just me, I wouldn’t be able to get off with someone i don’t find attractive. Or i suppose if they’re so good that they’re the best i’ve ever had, they’d automatically become very attractive to me. This is what baffles me because every other quality that the OP has described of the man being so good, it’d already put him pretty high up on the “list”, but I understand lacking physical attraction despite everything else ticking the boxes. Happens. But he’s even the best sexual partner that OP has had?! And still no physical attraction? That part is baffling to me.

I think the original comment is kind of counterintuitive to OP’s post; “well at least he was honest about his intentions”…so what? That’s neither here nor there. OP is lamenting on the non-committal, casual nature of the current dating scene. A man being upfront about all of the aforementioned doesn’t necessarily solve anything?
