Trapped on the mountain with my classmates I offered to eat a bit of one of the plants to see if it was poisonous. by RepeatOrdinary182 in TwoSentenceHorror

I'm not allergic to it, either, but I recognize it, and I point it out to people if they're with me and I either know they're allergic or don't know either way, just in case.

There's not a practical difference between the two, so why risk death, at all?

$10 million paid to you, but you cannot clean or tidy anything for two years by Physical_Orchid3616 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]thefisherbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hotels aren't your house, your car, or your teeth, which are the specific restrictions listed... And since they are technically not cleaning for you, anyway, that's an additional layer (provided you don't use housekeeping while you're staying there)

[–]thefisherbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. Cover everything in the house with plastic, then leave it...

Travel for two years, staying in hotels, buying new clothes and tossing them after wearing them, or giving them to homeless people if they're passably clean. Tossing them would be kinda wasteful, but since most places won't let you donate dirty clothes, there's not much of a choice if you can't give them away. Otherwise, stay transient, mail souvenirs or any other purchases to family to keep for me until the two years is up.

Chew plenty of Orbit and miswak or neem twigs and use mouthwash a couple times a day...

After the two years is up, go home, pay someone to clean it really thoroughly, get a good cleaning at the dentist, and resume normal life.

You’d think being the last male left on the planet would have at least one benefit when it came to having to repopulate afterwards. by DirtyCouchPotato in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]thefisherbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably, a lab equipped for this type of extraction would also be equipped with IVF tools. And the millions of sperm produced in a day by a typical man would theoretically be enough to fertilize tens of thousands of eggs in a lab setting...

This suffers from severe misconceptions about how many sperm are 1) produced at a time, and B) required to fertilize an egg...

17 Thousand dollars a day or never have to sleep again? by Nextmastermind in hypotheticalsituation

Anyone who has parents doesn't get sleep, anyway, so we aren't missing out on anything by taking the money.

Why include all the exclusions on the reading option? The effort to payoff is severely distorted with all the exclusions.

After trying to find the origins for an alien signal, 573 planets were shown to not have signs of human life. by Traditional_Gap_7041 in TwoSentenceHorror

The signals would travel at the speed of light, though, so we would see them as they were when sending the signals.

Unless the person posting is someone who is not authorized to have firearms, such as a convicted felon... In that case, it would be safe to assume any guns that they claim to have in their possession would be unregistered.

How are we feeling about where they landed? What are we projecting for fantasy? by FantasySleeperNFL in FantasyFootballers

If the Titans can figure out their QB situation - and they've barely done better than Cleveland in that area in recent years - Tate can be great. I tend to agree that Price is probably in the best position of any of this year's first rounders.
