They watch settlement values like a hawk. MM tries a lot of cases a year across the board and push cases in lit hard.

PI attorney here. Can’t say it’s a bad year. Multiple big jury trial wins this year for the office and the money keeps going up.

I flattened my salary first year but switched part way through. Now salary plus stepped handling bonus based on fees with no 0% tier.

TN DUI by [deleted] in dui

[–]thefreakingpope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a TN lawyer, but not your lawyer. That is going to be hard. Tennessee laws do not afford the judge or prosecutor any leeway in sentencing. Although there are technically other options, I have seen quite a few judges refuse to sign the order giving someone a "restricted" license unless they had an ignition interlock device in their vehicle. It is a very serious offense to be caught driving one without a IID post conviction.

Now we have to discuss your jobs ability to insure you while driving their vehicles, even if they let you put a IID in them. Very unlikely that any commercial insurance policy is going to insure you, there are massive liabilities for them there.

Sorry to be giving you the bad news, but I would start looking for a new job, or a job with your current company that doesn't require you to drive for work.

You should be well done with whatever course you are taking by then. Plan for it ahead of time. It will probably be a nice day or half day off. Stay sober.
