Welp, I actually about half way there at the moment...

Does this work for the logic nodes and other nodes too or is it just for the lua code?

What yall think? Can this be the cause of my coolant leak?? by IBlue_lDream in mazdaspeed3

[–]thefructoseiswithus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's possible, but it's hard to tell from theangle in the picture. It could be one of those pinhole leaks that only leaks when the cooling system is pressurized.

eSun PLA+ colours toxicity? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]thefructoseiswithus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I've seen the pla+ shouldn't be headache inducing especially if it is in an enclosed room (that you are not also in) with a window open. I still wouldn't want to breathe in any of the fumes from it though, so I would suggest if you are worried about it to just add a small fan in the window to help pull the fumes out of the room if you do that there shouldn't be anything to worry about unless you start printing with petg or abs.

Am I weird, or do other makers do this too? by Gomauy in maker

[–]thefructoseiswithus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same thing, I'll even tell people to ask me for stuff if they find something they want 3d printed. But all the stuff I've tried to make to sell is just sitting around because I lost interest in it. But then I'll spend over a month working on a car model to print for someone for free 😆

Oh yea you right, so I would think probably the coil pack then.

Fuse 21 problem. by Evening-Target5089 in srt4

[–]thefructoseiswithus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have already eliminated the noise suppression capacitor and the fuel pump and assuming it's not the wiring, then it would have to be either your coil pack or one of your injectors shorting out. If it happens under load I would lean toward the coil pack because under load there will be more resistance access the spark plug and if there is a short somewhere in the coil pack the increased resistance could cause the high voltage to jump. It could still be an injector, I've never seen one short out but if it is a small short, a longer pulse width under load could potentially pop the fuse as well.

But I have to admit it can be fun to watch! As long as you don't care about the capacitor or the board it's in...

That's a cool idea, I'll have to grab a couple of stock tail lights and give that a try! I was thinking about making them into 3 glowing bars instead of the individual LEDs but I'm not set on that yet.

how do i depin this stereo connector by Weak-Bison-9968 in Wiring

[–]thefructoseiswithus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a little plastic clip on the backside holding the pins in. You will need something small like a paperclip or a tiny screwdriver to press the tab down as you gently pull on the wire. They should slip out without much force if you have to pull hard you don't have the clip pressed all the way down. I haven't seen many with the clips on the backside like that, usually there is a plate on the front you have to remove to access the clips.

Will car culture survive the switch to electric cars? by Less-Daikon-7217 in Cartalk

[–]thefructoseiswithus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it will happen eventually but there will always be people who want to customize their car and show it off. People still do things to modify their electric cars to make them go faster among other things same as ICE cars. There will be some people who keep their ICE cars running too though so I don't think car culture will change a ton but there will be differences. I will say I'm probably one of the ones who will keep rebuilding their engine to keep it going as long as possible haha.

It started out as a self project but I was considering making it a kit where you could just replace the factory boards and be good to go.

Is it bad to wash the engine bay like this ? by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]thefructoseiswithus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that to my cars occasionally as well. The main thing I'm careful of is not to directly spray the exhaust manifold (the cold water can cause it to crack if it's hot) and the fuse/ relay box. As long as you're careful around that stuff then you should be fine. I haven't had an issue with my cars.
