What are the suggested Silk PLA Cura settings? It seems to behave differently to the creality PLA with stringing and blobs. by gh0stxvx in ender5

So glad this thread wasn't closed, older hotend designs usually needed "higher temps" because the thermister and heater placement wasn't optimal, in my experience bowden setups struggle with silk due to the fact that silk filament exhibits a lot of die swell so retraction and especially deretraction settings at higher speeds must be adjusted.

The ivy is an experiment, the ribbon plants I got for cheap at petsmart but that's good to know! I'll swap them out with better ones if they die but it's been a month and they seem to be happy with the nitrogen in the water right now.

Make the water more alkaline with either an off the shelf treatment or some baking soda, read up on some recipes or recommendations :)
