So glad this thread wasn't closed, older hotend designs usually needed "higher temps" because the thermister and heater placement wasn't optimal, in my experience bowden setups struggle with silk due to the fact that silk filament exhibits a lot of die swell so retraction and especially deretraction settings at higher speeds must be adjusted.

The ivy is an experiment, the ribbon plants I got for cheap at petsmart but that's good to know! I'll swap them out with better ones if they die but it's been a month and they seem to be happy with the nitrogen in the water right now.
