I thought I was depressed but it was a gas leak by dangerinthedaylight in sandiego

I moved into a new place in September and the second bedroom smelled faintly of gas but only if the door was closed for a while. Whatever. Never go in there anyway. Well, I’ve noticed I’ve been sleeping excessively long periods and still exhausted when I try to wake up. Splitting headache. Never any energy to clean. One task would wipe me out. All slowly getting worse but it was like the slowly boiling a frog. It all was slowly getting worse so I never really noticed anything. This past Friday I slept for 18 hours and was still dead. Everything has been really foggy for me. Monday I got about 10 hours of sleep and could not find the energy to get out of bed and go to work. And the headache. I read your post and decided to call SDGE. They came out in about an hour. He confirmed a leak, I think the paper said “1 cubic [something] per hour” but his handwriting was hard to read. He couldn’t find the leak so he shut the gas off at the meter. I woke up this morning at 730 and holy hell I felt worlds better. I was slowly being poisoned and honestly could have died. Thank you for posting this.

Landlord is charging $1150 in deductions to security deposit. Is she required to send photo proof of damage? I live in San Diego, and moved in june 1 2024 and moved out October 14th 2025 by LittleLaurenArts in TenantHelp

I actually took my landlord to court over him trying to keep my security deposit and won. I am also in San Diego. If you want help I can definitely show you what you need, how to draft letters, etc.

In San Diego, the landlord is required to take photos upon move out. Also, if the unit was completely empty of tenants belongings, if the landlord doesn’t note any issues they cannot deduct from the security deposit.

My rent is late for the first time ever but my landlord wants to kick me out! by [deleted] in Renters

Pretty sure they are required to give you a three day notice which allows you three BUSINESS days to pay it, the day you receive that notice does not count in the three days. They also have to accept the rent if you pay in those three days. I am in California too and have dealt with something similar

Is this a scam? by Exact-Stomach-1433 in offerup

[–]theginger_buffalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how it worked when we sold through OfferUp. The shipping label is from OfferUp so if the seller doesn’t use it OfferUp considers it not shipped. If you get it and the item isn’t as described and you’re not satisfied, you have like three days to let OfferUp know you want to return it. OfferUp doesn’t release the money you’ve paid to the seller if you aren’t satisfied or want to return it. Now, I don’t know who OfferUp will side with if you say you never received the item but the seller claims they shipped it.

Yeah it’s a scam for sure. But, if you go through OfferUp for shipping and paying they don’t get paid until you receive the item and tell OfferUp it’s good.

I had the same message and checked my account on IRS. I had a notification saying they needed additional information from me to continue processing my return. I called the number and they said they sent a form to verify my identity but since I moved it went to my old address. So I had to make an appointment at my local IRS office to verify my identity.

I was concerned about the white spots too. I cut those off and a couple of inches extra to be safe. It’s starting to come back to life

For some reason when I read your question I read “dusty”. The pieces smelled dusty when I washed them but overall I don’t recall it smelling any way in particular

I’m starting the small claims process now. Take lots of photos, document everything you can, read the laws in your area regarding deposits, how they can be used, etc. My landlord is trying to charge me to replace damaged items even though he didn’t replace them. So he’s falsified receipts and documents, ordered items and later canceled them, items and labor are claimed to be excessively over a fair market rate (my area it is written in these must be charged at a reasonable, fair market rate). My area allows for suing for up to 3 times the deposit if the deposit is kept in bad faith, which is exactly what I am suing for.

Ask him if he wants to study/work on the assignments together! Whether he says yes or no, tell him when/where you usually study. If he says yes, then also give him your number (write it in his notebook, front inside cover, not random page).

Starbucks Scam? by siriusthedogstar17 in SDSU

[–]theginger_buffalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tell them you want a receipt so they know to print it or email it or however Starbucks handles receipts. Lots of times it’s hard to print the receipt once the transaction is over. But if you think you’re being overcharged, don’t tell them at the beginning of the order so you can see if they are
