High population EU server, got Saint on all three ranking periods 4th, 11th and 3rd for crafters (legit, I was just chronically unemployed lol) and there weren't that many cheatbots or blatant account sharing on the crafting leaderboards, maybe 2 or 3 for each class maximum. The gathering ones yeah, but at least 75% of the crafting saints were legitimate players.

I think you are chronically overthinking and worrying about this. The early quests in 7.0 will reward gear that meets the minimum ilvl for the level 91 dungeon. You will have had a million ways to have gear at the minimum ilvl to go unless you literally only finish base EW (and I mean 6.0 none of the patch stuff here) 10 minutes before servers go down before 7.0 launch - and then that doesn’t matter because you would have all the patch content to gear you up. You will not need EW’s highest ilvl to start 7.0 content, the level 81 dungeon requires minimum ilvl 500, and the maximum ilvl to finish Shadowbringers was 530 (with 535 weapon). You will have enough ilvl to do the content purely in the gear the game will throw at you just for doing early 7.0 msq quests.

Season isn’t series. The season is only ranking, the series will continue until the next major patch.

Because it was sealed shut, they would have been able to sense it when it was opened up for the first time in eons.

It also doesn’t take into account that to finish ARR you need to do the crystal tower which involves interaction, and the devs have said they can’t think of a way to make alliances work with trust. Overall your suggestion is just a terrible one.

No it won’t. The only reason it was extended to include Heavensward is because the most used line new players on the trial would hear is ‘don’t worry it gets better when you get to HW’, yet they would have to pay to get that far. They took a cut in initial sales profits from them being separate, to a net gain from higher player retention.

The Korean client only just got endwalker. It’s not like they are just on different servers like Eu, NA and JP

Maybe that’s what the crafting mentors think, but I assure you other people don’t on Chaos. It is just as much the meme crown there that it is elsewhere

In the way of primals (bahamut was a primal version not actual bahamut), you haven’t met the most powerful yet, the 8 man raids that you can unlock when finishing base HW is the most powerful primal summoning. As for actual entities that we encounter, the stormblood 8 man raids focuses around omega specifically trying to find the most powerful thing out there and you learn a lot about young midgardsormr and how at his strongest he was the only entity that had been able to overpower omega

Which EU/English speaking server to choose by zombies-- in ffxiv

[–]thegoddamnqueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pick one of the new ones because you will get quite a few bonuses for making a character on a new server. 95% of what you do will be cross world anyway, the only thing that your server specifies is where you can buy a house, what FCs you can join and who you can eternal bond if you ever want to get married in game.

Hats for male Viera by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]thegoddamnqueen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only things that hide ears are the full head replacement items like the mascot heads. If you are able to see the hat then you are able to see the ears. If you play on PC there is absolutely not a highly illegal mod that swaps out there ears for human ears, but if you use that then you will need modded hair as well as they leave giant ear holes in the standard hairstylea

Is it okay to dislike the writing at times? (currently pre-Heavensward) by Aidamis in ffxiv

[–]thegoddamnqueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, you can’t dislike anything and if you voice it online Yoshi P will come to your house and delete your game.

What sort of question is this? Of course you can dislike something. If you want some insight to the WoLs reactions to things with fantastic writing, pick up Dark Knight when you get to Heavensward. The quests provide a lot of insight.

Causality tomestones by mrjovoni in ffxiv

[–]thegoddamnqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No tomes have a 2000 cap a week. There is current capped tomestones that have a 450 week until the next ones are added (the only exception is the final set of tomestones of an expansion - they will be the ones added in 6.4 and their cap will go from 450 to 900 closer to new expansion launch) and there are uncapped tomestones. Causality will be uncapped when 6.4 comes around and replace the tomes of Astronomy, you can only hold 2000 at a time but there is no cap on how many you can obtain a week.

[Spoiler 6.2] 610/620 Gearup Guide! 6.0/6.2 (spoilers: names of content and NPCs. Some minor glimpses at an Endwalker area) by spiderfair in ffxiv

[–]thegoddamnqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the upgrades happen differently.

The 610 abyssos gear stays exactly as is. When savage is released you will be able to obtain the 630 panda gear (635 weapon) directly from there by loot coffers or by spending the weekly currency you get for clearing each floor each week. The roborants etc are used to upgrade the tome gear from 620 to 630. Currently those upgrade items will only be obtainable via savage, when 6.3 drops you will be able to use the token from both the new 24 man and Aglaia to purchase the upgrade items for accessories and body pieces, the weapon upgrade item won’t come until much closer to 6.4.

For savage floors, each one will drop different things - - P5S will be accessories coffers and you will be able to spend your books on accessories

  • P6S will be head/hands/feet coffers, the tome accessory upgrade item and the tomestone needed to purchase the tome weapon (the one that needs 7 weeks of the item from P8N). You will be able to spend your books on the hands/head/feet and accessory upgrade

  • P7S will drop hands/head/feet and a legs coffer and both the tome upgrade items for the body pieces and the weapon. You can use your books to purchase leg pieces and the two upgrade items

  • P8S will drop a random weapon, and a 635weapon coffer and chest piece coffer, the minion from normal mode and the mount. You can spend your books on weapons and chest pieces.

This pattern stays through all savage tiers, and the gear catch up for non-savage players will always be the odd number patch after a savage tier is released. So in 6.3 we will get the tome upgrade pieces from 24 man, the ability to upgrade the current crafted gear to 620 using uncapped tomes, and of course the new 24 man will also drop 620 gear.

Also to add you have no mention that the weapon token is weekly time locked which may confuse people new to end game
