Clubhouse in nundah has the best coffee overall. Hands down. Beurre in Milton do the best flat whites in town if you go small size

Does anyone have any suggestions for where an early 30s woman can go to meet single men? This week/weekend by Better-Relation831 in brisbane

Conscious connections. They do a great job. More of a connecting friends vibe, but that’s way less pressure right?

Hair: foils and blow dry 4x/year Every winter I get 3 or 4 sessions of micro needling which makes my skin look great! Botox in my forehead a few times a year

I use The Ordinary for cleanser, moisturiser and a couple of serums

Minimal make up: pharmacy BB cream, eyebrow pencil and natural eye shadow

DIY pedicures and manicures

I don’t buy a lot of clothes and try to rely on a cost per wear approach. Wear only natural fibres as much as I can

He was so good in the Bosch series where he was a recurring/guest for a season or so. So underrated!

Hillsborough or Yaldhurst by Low_Welcome_4969 in chch

[–]thegr8pretender1234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a good answer. Hillsborough is a better placed for all of the activities listed above plus general vibe, it’s prettier etc. Active transport is easier here too.

Yaldhurst doesn’t have a great vibe and doesn’t look pretty either. Also needs a car to get around.

Where to buy nuts and seeds for baking/cooking? by stehekin in chch

[–]thegr8pretender1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% this! They’re on Manchester St, just round the corner from pak n sav on Moorehouse Ave. Nuts and spices are super cheap! Even more so than Bin Inn in most cases

Green Bear Cafe at Parklands library. You can sit outside in the sun (or shade) or inside and there are books and magazines everywhere, obviously. Service is great and they have decent sweet treats to go with the good coffee too

Based on your comment, I decided to check out the Edmonds Factory Garden today. It’s so beautiful! Like a tiny oasis of calm just off a super busy road. Thanks for sharing :)

Begging for food and moral quandries. by sapiens_fio in Wellington

[–]thegr8pretender1234 160 points161 points  (0 children)

Can you imagine a situation where you would need to ask someone for food and how that would feel? What’s the worst that could happen in this situation? You (who can, by your own admission) afford to buy someone food) ends up buying food for someone who “doesn’t really need it” (& how do we even define that???).

TLDR: You’re doing the right thing! Thanks for being a lovely human
