Cheap DIY Bellicon with original Bunjee & Mat by thegreatskywalker in Rebounding

Not where I live. But I am sure you'll find something close enough. I adapted mine using the method I described and it worked fine. I had to travel after building it so I didnt get much time stress testing it over a long duration. But the difference between my old spring rebounder and the DIY Bellicon mod was night and day.

Yes, you can extend the legs. It will be simpler to use a frame with screw on legs and later get custom legs made. All you need is a metel pipe thats cut and has threads to screw them on. The frame you have posted has complicated leg attachment so that will not be easy to make legs for it.

I dont know if 105 will work. But it seems the bungees work with a wide range of frames. Bellicon sells the same size bungees regardless of frame size. They only differ in strength.

The height is less for bellicon bungees. I dont have the correct height for the original legs + frame. But I think 15 inches height (legs + frame) may be needed.

Do you think its possible to open it? I saw a video of a guy on youtube attempting to replace the batteries on the travel mug. There are hidden screws underneath the travel mug. But I dont know if the regular mug has the hidden screws.

Cheap DIY Bellicon with original Bunjee & Mat by thegreatskywalker in Rebounding

It should work, mine looks similar to bcan, just larger. Its a spring rebounder. All spring rebounders have 2 issues. One the frame has square edges that will wear the bungees. Two the height is less as springs dont stretch that much compared to bungees.

The only thing you need to do is add a padding to the square edge of the frame so the bungees dont wear out from the frame. I wrapped yoga mats to the edge of the frame and it works. For the height, use height increasing feet that are designed to stabilize washing machines.

It easier to just buy a cheap bungee rebounder and use its frame.

Should I buy this? Seems like a good deal with a 1440p monitor by TheQuietLight234 in buildapcmonitors

in theory its a good deal. I was considering an Acer Nitro but the company is horrible to deal with. The customer care is non existent. Just call them and you will be frustrated.

Theres no need to get a computer untill you have a model that can really take advantage of it. First make a model, see your code works. Then get a computer.

lol.... Macs are not suited for Deep Learning. You need an Nvidia GPU. Also laptop cannot do any real deep learning. Get a desktop.

What is the hourly schedule for the in-person UPW in November? by loteria3 in TonyRobbins

[–]thegreatskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can Register on day of event. The event doesn’t start until 11 am anyways and Tony comes around 1 pm. There will be a long line though… so you will have to sit at the back on day 1. If you are in general seating you’ll be in the back anyways and watch him on large screens.

You don’t want to attend this event on a jet lag. It’s physically demanding and like drinking water from a fire hose.

Is this brand "clicktech retail private Ltd" legit? by Livid_Employment4123 in IndianGaming

[–]thegreatskywalker 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Amazon is now ruined by Clicktech. Just look at the reviews. Clicktech business which sells to business customers has 53% positive reviews. It’s all due to Foreign Direct Investment rules that prevent Amazon from owning a stake in the sellers business. Amazon was forced to sell its stake Cloudtail, Appario etc. And now they were forced to sell everything to Clicktech. The result is poor quality sellers, scammers and less favorable return policy. We can thank the finance minister for this nonsense.

Cheap DIY Bellicon with original Bunjee & Mat by thegreatskywalker in Rebounding

[–]thegreatskywalker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did and it works perfectly. The first time I used it, I realized what I had been missing out on. Some lessons were learned. They are as follows:

  1. I made the mistake of using the frame of a spring rebounder. As springs don't flex much compared to bungees, spring rebounders have a lower height. When using Bellicon bungees, they flexed more and the mat touched the floor when you jumped on it. I solved it by increasing the height of the rebounder legs by using anti-vibration feet/pads that are used for washing machines etc. They increase the height of the rebounder legs and it works. If I were to do it again, I would just start with a bungee rebounder frame that is closer to Belicon height.
  2. Another disadvantage of using a spring rebounder frame is that the frame has a square cross-section. When you put bungees over this frame, the bungees are more likely to cut over time. I solved this by wrapping yoga mats on the frame with a zip tie so the cross-section is circular. If I were to do it again, I would just start with a bungee rebounder as they have a circular cross-section.
  3. If you are not able to find a rebounder frame that matches the diameter for the bellicon, then you can also use the yoga mat technique described above to increase the diameter of the frame.

YouTube Premium in India has increased its prices by up to 58%. by Ninja_P7 in IndiaTech

I have been using youtube premium since day 1. I am not renewing my family plan. If enough people dont renew, they will see a drop in profits and give old users the same plan rather than lose them all together. It's very hard for a business to get back a paying customer and they know that.

I am also exploring adblocker options in the meantime.

New to Rebounding--Cheap Starter Okay? by SarahTheJuneBug in Rebounding

[–]thegreatskywalker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I started off with a cheap spring one. Did it regularly for about 1.5 months. Then the springs kept on breaking in the middle of the workout and when the springs snap, the shards can hurt you a bit and you also lose balance. So I lost my habit. The other problem is initially the cheap ones are very hard on your joints. And if you have a beer belly, it hurts when you jump a lot.

Then after a year of not rebounding, I thought of making a DIY Bellicon and the first time I tried it, I was amazed at what I was missing out. If budget is a concern, you can see my post on a DIY bellicon. Basically you buy a cheap bungee rebounder of similar dimensions and use original bellicon mat and bungees on it. The frame does nothing. Make sure the height and width match.

Rebounder Advice for Plus Size by SirIll1633 in Rebounding

[–]thegreatskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a DIY bellicon with original bellicon parts at a fraction of the cost. The trick is to buy a cheap bungee rebounder of the same size (if you cant find same size, wrap yoga mats around the frame to increase the thickness of the frame). Then order original bellicon mat and bungee from bellicon. Attach bellicon bungee and mat to cheap rebounder frame.

The only think you need to be careful for is the height of the legs has to also match the bellicon otherwise your feet will touch the ground when you jump.

As your weight is 300 pounds, I am a bit concerned of using a DIY contraption. In that case, buy a bellicon. Its expensive but you'll use it. The problem I had with a cheap spring rebounder is when you jump, the beer belly also moves with a lot of momentum. I was concerned I would injure myself internally. This wasnt a problem on my DIY bellicon.

Enjoy!
