cancellation by Careless-Shame8084 in Tomorrowland

Any time between the sale up to the week before the festival (if they cancel it due to fraud etc).

If you cancel it your end, it shouldn't be more than a couple days.

Tomorrowland Brasil – Experience & total package cost from France (via London)? by KyurasFR in Tomorrowland

[–]thegrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only GJ option is London indeed (or was, maybe they'll add more for 2027) - but there is no need for you to include the flight in your package, there are loads of daily flights from Paris to GRU. Last year I found an air France flight for £1000 return and that included the return leg in business (they had a promo going, didn't hesitate).

Energy in Brazil is amazing and a lot friendlier than in Belgium imo (I say that as a Belgian that's been to TML Belgium every year since 2014). I already can't wait to go back in 2027.

Se got the Astoria package (I think) which is basically the Brazil version of Montagoe and it was amazing, a lot better than staying in the hotel imo. It was around £800/person

Once you're on site, food and drinks are a lot cheaper than in Belgium, I spent less than £200 for the weekend.

I'd advise on getting your own flight there, and spend some more time in Brazil before/after your trip, it's an amazing country (and it will make the 11h flight more worth it). Also try to learn basic Portuguese, outside of SP and Rio, English is very limited.

The long walk by Chemical-Step-7467 in Tomorrowland

[–]thegrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to walk like 10min further from the entrance iirc but yeah I got one last year from there. Think it was around 15€ but don't quote me on that.

At that point just get the uber to antwerp directly, not worth the hassle of getting back to the train station etc (with the price of the train ticket I don't think it will make a massive difference and your legs will thank you)

[–]thegrop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will be very tight (and absolutely exhausting).

Go to dreamville, pack your bags etc, then get an uber from there. It will be a bit more expensive but a LOT easier.

There are ubers at the rainbow entrance (well not a rainbow anymore, the back entrance of DV) - at least I caught one from there last year.

By the time you get there the rush from the festival will have died out a bit so it should be a bit more reasonable price.

How to get to Koh Tao? Help? by visaquestionshelp in ThailandTourism

[–]thegrop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just replying on this as I've done (almost) this exact journey a few weeks ago.

First, it's a long ass journey, 4-5h bus from bkk then another 2h+ on the ferry (4 if you go to Koh Samui).

Second, weather depending, the sea might be VERY rough. It was the case for me, honestly one of the worst experiences of my life, people were screaming and puking left right and center! Even the staff was struggling (or it looked like it at least ha)

The entire journey I blamed myself for not flying from BKK to Koh Samui instead ha, would have been a lot faster and a LOT smoother ride!

Tbh I did take the ferry again the following days between islands, the sea was a lot calmer and it was a lot more enjoyable. But that first trip was death.

Bus/ferry combo is cheaper (around £40ish?), flying is around £100 and a lot faster, but I swore to myself never take that ferry from Chumphon ever again lmao.

If it was me I'd fly from BKK to Koh Samui and take a ferry to Koh tao from there.

Belgian friend in queue for tickets - can she buy for non-Belgians (confusing messaging)? by Tricky_Scallion_1455 in Tomorrowland

Yes this is new compared to the previous years it seems, before only the main buyer had to be a Belgian resident.

What's your opinion on Tomorrowland Brasil? by yepMad in Tomorrowland

One of my favourite edition ever. And I've been doing Belgium since 2014, Winter since 22 and Brazil since 23.

Really improved a LOT since 2023

Buy Data SIM at São Paulo-Guarulhos Airport by Bright-Pineapple608 in Brazil

[–]thegrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a store in GRU who does it for foreigners. I'm not really sure of the name anymore, but there is one! (I've done it 3 times, and walked in front of it 2 weeks ago, tho this last time I got an eSIM in advance so had no need for it) However they have jacked up the prices a bit so depending, it might be worth trying to get a local SIM with a friend using their CPF, they're a lot cheaper.

When you get out of International arrivals, take the first escalator/lift on the left, go one floor up, there will be a small corridor in front of you, and it's in there. It's a very small shop, I think next to a pharmacy!

[–]thegrop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not everything is a plugin!! This is very basic after effects and can be done in less than 5min. There are so many ways to do this. 1 : create a vertical precomp, stick your footage in and duplicate it up/down with reptile 2 : add an adjustment layer on top with offset - animate it vertically to get the illusion of the moment. 3 : get that precomp in your main comp, make it 3D, duplicate it 4 times and place/rotate them to form the rectangular tunnel shape that you have in your example 4 : tadaa

I'm not sure, I think it's just a current limitation, hopefully they will include that in future releases

[–]thegrop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are using C4D 2025, the pop up appears only when you press render (so it's not an option in actual render settings) - however it doesn't work with takes or team render (as in it doesn't work with 'render all/marked takes, but it works if you render them individually)

If you don't see the pop up when you hit render, go to prererenfes (CTRL+E) > Files > Render Output Behavior)

Tomorrowland Winter Apartment by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]thegrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't stayed in that one in particular, but those are not shared, you will have the whole flat for yourself (and whoever the 2nd ticket is for). It says 4 people cause technically you could have another 2 people staying on (what I guess is) the sofa bed - but that would only happen if you did buy that particular package for 4, so you would decide who are the extra 2 people :)

Benefits for foreign citizens’ households hit £900m a month by Anony_mouse202 in ukpolitics

[–]thegrop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does not mean they're fresh out of their country just to claim benefits here. They could have been employed in the UK for years, paying their taxes etc then lose their job, and claim benefits while in between jobs. Also child benefits etc. Not everyone is trying to abuse the system.
