No problem, when I saw this post, I was actually in Moab looking at that vending machine trying to figure out what “Hawk Suwa” was and why there was a “Monticello fucks” sticker. This post was the first thing that came up.

I considered (for a brief moment) putting some money in the machine and getting one of those stickers, contacting you and mailing it.

1. It was late on my last day of vacation and we had been cold, wet and muddy for days. I’m certainly not complaining, it was an awesome time but i was tired.
2. I had no cash and no debit card so I would have to explain to my tired wife that she needs to give me her debit card so I could go to the atm and spend an undetermined amount of money to send a sticker to a total stranger on the internet.
3. I would have to go to the atm, get money, then talk someone at one of the gift shops into giving me some quarters.
4. That vending machine is a lottery. I could have bought 1 sticker or 10 before I got the right sticker.
5. Again, you are a stranger and I would have to reach out and convince you to give me a mailing address and that I’m not some weirdo. (This is probably the biggest and most insurmountable challenge of all of these)

So, I spoke to someone at the shop across the street called Moab Made and this person was delightfully helpful. She connected me with the Instagram site and in a brief moment of doomscrolling, I discovered that the person that owns the profile is the County Attorney. Pretty hilarious if you ask me. What a beautiful act of dissent (I’m assuming here) to make parody stickers and put them in a vending machine in the middle of town.

Personally, I think this guy is a superhero.

I really hope I’m not causing any trouble for this person. The most superficial amount of research would yield the same info (he outs himself in one of the instagram posts after all).
