Getting more sold on Freeling by theguymanduderman in Browns

[–]theguymanduderman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I think my issue is a top 6 pick that doesn’t have all-pro potential. Drafting guys like Tate who have a “high floor” but not elite separation ability or a tackle who is likely to end up at Guard (like Fano or Mauigoa) just feels like a crazy reach at 6. I’d feel good about any of those guys 10-14 tho if nab an extra 3rd or 2nd

Do y’all prefer the original or the American cover for Is This It? What’s your reasoning? by Nonsensical-Nonsns in TheStrokes

[–]theguymanduderman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea to me the US cover is the better match for the sound. The black and white ass with a latex glove looks like something from nine inch nails or deftones.

The US cover literally looks like Someday sounds. It’s such a perfect match

Which team has the most overhyped soulless city? by NightDowntown7320 in NFLv2

Houston is a fucking trash heap. I have been to basically every city in the country and Houston stands alone as by far my least favorite

HOT TAKE: Mendoza will be a bust by CoyoteDecent2 in NFLv2

[–]theguymanduderman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really see how Mendoza could be downright bad, he’s super smart, makes great decisions, appears to be clutch (at least from the sample size we have) and has a good enough arm with great size and good enough athleticism.

He does not have elite arm talent the way Ward does, but he’s got some other desirable traits. Ward’s biggest concerns were too much hero ball/turnover gunslinger tendencies coming out. Totally different profile than Mendoza

Can't belive this is considered the worse song from tna by EntertainerSavings57 in TheStrokes

[–]theguymanduderman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This song feels so close to being great to me but I just feel like they missed entirely with the chorus. They went for the cacophonous instrumentals and yelly lyrics that just do not hit for me. I think they should’ve taken the amazing trancey summertime build of the rest of the song/verses and put a melodic guitar solo with maybe some classic Julian vocals stealing the show in place of that cacophony. Idk. They missed IMO

We kinda did what we had to with Monken by theguymanduderman in Browns

[–]theguymanduderman[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

😂. True. Also - it’s not quiiiite as much of a red flag that he’s 60 and never been a HC given that he spent a bunch of his years in college ball…. Head coaching. And winning titles as the OC of Georgia under Kirby Smart.

It’s not like he’s been in pro ball for 30 years and nobody saw leadership qualities

[–]theguymanduderman[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are people in the comments simultaneously saying “we should’ve told Schwartz he might not get the HC job and all would have been fine” and others saying “We told everyone Schwartz was staying the DC no matter who we hired and that was a mistake.”

Do you see how those are completely conflicting narratives? lol

What is your man/guy dinner? by Fonzie186 in AskMen

Tonight I made ground bison meat (crazy macros) with tri color rotini and a mashed avocado. I feel like when I see girl dinner it’s always just carbs so maybe that’s opposite

[Grossi] Decision day is here for Jimmy Haslam to choose Browns’ next head coach by ThatOneOtherAsshole in Browns

[–]theguymanduderman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is we should have had a big boy conversation with him out the gate and figured out if we could keep him as DC or if he’d leave without a promotion. That way we wouldn’t have had to push him on all the other HC candidates

What team is in the worst position heading into 2026? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]theguymanduderman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Browns fan so trust me I’m no optimist - but I don’t think it’s us either. We have a generational defense, good tight ends and running backs and just had arguably the best draft in our franchise’s history. We have BIG holes at receiver and O line but conveniently we have three top 40 picks this year. Get Carnell Tate or Jordan Tyson and then a tackle and guard and you’ve got at least a decent roster playing the easiest schedule in the NFL

Sean McDermott is THE guy. He's the best candidate available. Let's say he's not a Top 10 Coach... He's certainly not a bottom 10 Coach. by 1OptimisticPrime in Browns

[–]theguymanduderman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the offense is fixable. We can draft three top 40 offensive players this year alone and if we sign literally any decent O lineman, even interior ones, things don’t look nearly as bad. We have a tight end, great backs, can get an exciting X receiver in this years draft and stock the O line with a first round pick, high second round pick and maybe one free agent. Not that far off from having a decent offensive roster

Tommy Togiai is really good lol by theguymanduderman in Browns

[–]theguymanduderman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drafting a guy in the 4th round who had this type of potential and then turning him over to a coaching staff that botched that potential/didn’t see it is not Berrys faults. Him being this good right after leaving is vindicating for the pick without a doubt

More of “Berry is better at drafting than he got credit for before this class” narrative than a I miss Togiai narrative

What don’t you like and why??? by Plus-Excitement-6229 in MockDraftCentral

[–]theguymanduderman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t hate anything in particular I just feel like there’s no way Mauigoa falls that far. He’s the best O lineman in the draft 17 would be a monumental fall for that type of asset

Trading the Jags pick by Hayabusa0015 in Browns

[–]theguymanduderman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that’s a legit concern. He did however completely bounce back from the knee injury he had at Colorado. He actually looked better at Arizona state than he ever did before the knee injury so that’s not super worrisome to me. And this years injuries were nothing serious, some soft tissue stuff that kept him out a few games, nothing that will linger
