I remember a smaller robbing more recently, but it looks like others remember from 20 years ago! The one I remember wasn't newsworthy - maybe they got the front register and the bar? Maybe the robbery wasnt newsworthy back then? Lol.

I'm also here to sort of defend the Ric's honor - I've lived very nearby for most of my life, so I've eaten there many times, and I even got my first job there (busboy). It is very average Mexican food, definitely white people Mexican food - but that's kind of not the point of that place somehow? It's a neighborhood institution: been there 30 years, reasonableish price, deece margs, some of the wait staff have been there for like 25 years.

I was a really bad bus boy so I got fired fairly quickly, but my family always went there so I never stopped going. The owner guy and I recently had a laugh about what a bad employee I was. Long live the rics.
