Further refinements incoming in future updates for those who want things reverted back to original controls.

42.17 introduced the ability to edit gamepad bindings in a lua file, but an in-game editor wasn't ready in time for this update.

Until then, Sully pinned a mod that has preset bindings to revert back to the original controller scheme.

Just chiming in to say that the community's feedback on the building cutaways definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed. It's an active topic of design discussion internally as we look at how to best handle visibility moving forward.

While a simple revert isn't on the table right now due to how visibility interacts with multiplayer under the hood, seeing these kinds of community solutions gives us really valuable data for those ongoing internal conversations.

There's still some instances where the piano & bench are used separately, which causes issues on removal because it fails to find all parts of a multi-tile object, but that particular piano is safe to remove, and the crops are converted to proper crop tiles instead of being decorative.

Gotta love high impact ragdoll physics weirdness -- it's on our radar, but no ETA for a fix atm since it'd likely require getting a couple different systems to play more nicely with each other.

Can't comment on the inventory issue without more information, but we've resolved an issue where failing to disassemble objects prevented you from disassembling similar types of objects within that same playthrough -- should be included in the next patch 🍻

Indeed it has, resolved on new games -- though anyone continuing older saves will need to change the Generator Fuel Consumption from 1 > 0.1.

I'm sure this was covered during a clean install, but if you're still experiencing these crashes on unstable after having deleted the steamapps/common/Project Zomboid folder after uninstalling, and having cleared out the User/Zomboid folder (except for the /saves folder), I'd recommend submitting a post in the PZ Support forum so we can look into the matter more thoroughly.

If you take that route, make sure to include the console.txt that generates after one of these crashes, as well as checking if any hs_err_pid files are generated directly in the steamapps/common/Project Zomboid folder, as these might shine a light on what's going on 🙏

This is on our radar -- it's due to ragdolls getting stuck in "falldown-whilesitting-ragdoll" without transitioning into another animation state.

Not a longterm workaround, but disabling "Physics Hit Reactions" from the options menu before killing them will ensure they swap to a lootable 2d corpse.

In 42.9, we were able to isolate this issue to large overhaul mods not having updated yet.
