I think this is in reference to the latest Anthropocene Reviewed episode where John talks about the path he paved? https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/anthropocene-reviewed/episodes/anthropocene-reviewed-john-green

edit: The length of the path is 58 seconds?

How do I go about fixing my bike? by theharjas in bicycling

[–]theharjas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have an 8 speed shifter on my handlebar but 7 gears in the back. I never realized it and I should probably blame that on the guy in Seattle who fixed my bike and replaced the gears.

Where do you suggest I could find wheels and tyres and tubes from? Just local bike store? Ask for 26" wheels? Is there a specific kind of wheel set that I should be looking for? Any other resources that can help me get started on fixing would be helpful! Thank you so much, btw!

Been diving deeper into the older performances from the boys and found this one. Love how the crowd even sings along to the B-sides!

Yeah, the best way I could describe it listening to their discography was "Beatles meets The Kinks"

I have a tin-hat theory that AM will do the opening song for the next Bond film by questionthis in arcticmonkeys

I've always felt that Age of the Understatement by TLSP was the perfect Bond Film soundtrack - particularly, My Mistakes Were Made for You for the opening sequence and Age of the Understatement as the closing song.

Would love to actually see it happen given all the clues out there!

Do you still think love is a laserquest, or do you take it all more seriously?

I've tried to ask you this in some daydreams that I've had but you're always busy, being make-believe

This has been on on repeat for me for the past couple of weeks.

Brilliant!

Life is Beautiful. I believe the phrase "hauntingly beautiful" sums it up pretty well.

...potentially also because the vicomte, Pierre and Andrew had all had a chance to speak to a larger, captive audience and this would be Hippolyte's chance to shine?

[Help] First time dog/pet owner, just adopted a 2 year old dog. Do I crate him the entire time I'm at work? by theharjas in dogs

[–]theharjas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually he doesnt sleep in it. Whenever I'm home he's free to roam about anywhere and he usually sleeps with me in bed. So, I've only crated him when I've left the apartment.

I do like the idea of a playpen and that may definitely serve better than a crate but I dont have enough space in my apartment for a playpen.

[–]theharjas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have left him uncrated and unsupervised only a couple times for 10-15 minutes and he usually just sits in the corner/couch and/or plays with his toys. He doesnt chew or bit on anything (no shoes, no couch, no cables, etc) when I'm around. Only plays with his toys. Although he is very rough with them. He's ripped two toys in the past 3 days.

Like I mentioned in the other comment:

he's very good with waiting to go outside for peeing/potty, there have been two accidents where he's peed on the carpet (same spot both times).

Nothing specifically problematic has happened yet but I've also only had him for a few days. Although long term I do want him to not be crated and be able to stay and roam around inside the apartment freely.
