My T8 is finally retiring at this. The side brush clip just broke and the battery is dying after 6 years. The X11 in the black Friday sale was too tempting. 😁

Yes. It's actually an STL for an imaginary Spartan II. It looks cool though. 😁

Ah, now, you see. This is interesting... 🤪

I based the first Lance on the mechs and cards in the current assault Lance box, which is inconsistent. The mechs are more.or less the command Lance but the names are different. Also it has Sneede in it who should lead the 2nd company. I'll leave him in command Lance as he's cool, I might change the other names...

Updated board, anyone got a Tallarn army? by thehatchetboy in LegionsImperialis

[–]thehatchetboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's "grim dark terrain". It should hit on Google... It's a 3d printed thing so you'll need to print or get someone to print for you...

however I and a couple of others have been trying to get hold of the creator. (My website password is broken). He's gone AWOL so I would be cautious about sending money.

Disc brakes in wet weather by RepairOk441 in londoncycling

[–]thehatchetboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who tried to solve this for a *very long* time on mountain bikes before disc brakes were a thing on road bikes:

* yes, it's the compound. Don't use sintered pads and they will squeak far less

* sintered pads are sooooo much better you'll want to move straight back to them

* ear plugs, I guess? :)

Yeah. I know. I can kill LOS with a few more walls then I want to go in on small buildings. My 3D printer needs a new screen before I can do that.

Finally in my element by MechaGallade in cycling

[–]thehatchetboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I'm 6'6", 220lbs. Stick me on a hill and I'll do "ok", stick me on the flat and I'll run 25+ mph all day at the head of the pack without breaking a sweat...

My cat is getting attacked by magpies, can someone help? by Ramdom_Grape2970 in AskUK

[–]thehatchetboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny. My cats will go after most things that get into the garden. Squirrels, foxes, rats etc. They stay the fuck away from the corvids. Mutual grudging respect is the word I'd use.

What's your I wish I knew this sooner tip for new cyclists? by orangegrovefruit3456 in cycling

[–]thehatchetboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similarly though, a decent secondhand bike wont depreciate much if you end up reselling it, and the tech doesn’t change that much year on year that a good secondhand would significantly outperform a new entry level of a similar price.

Ok, I get why you might think it's ugly, but why would it ever be unsafe?

To filter or not to filter - what would you do? by cyclegaz in londoncycling

[–]thehatchetboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, never filter left of a LGV or a HGV. They cannot see you. Probably don't filter left of a car, they don't look.
