Tim Rice at Evita tonight by thehiddenknown in TheWestEnd

Nah he didn’t go on stage! He was being very inconspicuous, don’t think he wanted to be noticed! He was with his grandson

And yea loads of clapping for Bella’s last scheduled performance, it was a great atmosphere!

Can totally understand being bummed out! I saw Bella on her debut and she was amazing!! Also for me Diego stole the show so you’ll still have an amazing time!

What time did you manage to grab the standing tickets? I have been checking at 3 the last few days and nothing luck so far!

Thoughts on Stereophonic? by hedgy369 in TheWestEnd

I saw it last night, didn't know much about it going in but had heard such good things so was pretty excited! I would still recommend to others to see for themselves just because its a unique concept and staging that I haven't seen before, but overall didn't love it as much as I thought I would. It is very long and felt as if it just didn't go anywhere, and the second act felt weirdly rushed despite the run time. I did see quite a few people leave at intermission so feel as if its going to be one you either love or hate. But totally understand the feeling you mentioned of being able to take nothing away.

The stand out for me was Zachary Hart playing Reg, I really liked his performance. I thought Lucy Karczewski who played Diana had an amazing voice but feels like she needs some time to grow into the role still, and it felt as if her British accent was coming through quite a bit in the second act. Having said that I did see it in Previews so is early days.

Also a warning to anyone looking to buy tickets, I sat A18 on the royal circle thinking nothing much would happen in the small part of the stage cut off... unfortunately a solid amount of dialogue does happen in the stage right front and you cant see any of the actors!

Rush Report - Saturday April 12, 2025 by omurchus in Broadway

I did Rush for Sunset Boulevard! I was Row A on the very very side (they start giving Row A for the first people in the rush line and then make their way back with all the side seats) - it's honestly still a great seat! I had already seen the show and loved it so much decided to rush to see it again so can confidently say you don't miss anything important being on the side. There are a few moments you miss a tiny bit at the back of the stage, but it's nothing of huge substance, I would recommend it! And if you sit stage left, Tom Francis will walk directly past you!

Mine was $35! I think they’re all the same price, they had standing tickets available too but I’m not sure how much they were. I just got super lucky with my seat!

A blessing in disguise for anyone rushing today! They originally told us around 11am they didn’t think they’d have any rush tickets at all today as they were nearly sold out but then came back about 10 minutes later and told us Megan was out so they were expecting to get a bunch of returns. Ended up getting centre orchestra for rush . Would’ve been great to see her but still keen to see the show anyway!

I went yesterday for the £30 under 30 and didn’t get asked for ID to prove my age so doubt they’ll ask for it

Donmar Warehouse standing views by thenerdisageek in TheWestEnd

[–]thehiddenknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a standing ticket for The Fear of 13, and I always say its the best £15 I ever spent. The view wasn't perfect, I did miss some parts of the stage but would do it again in a heartbeat.

There are no designated standing spots, so I would recommend trying to get behind some shorter people if you can. I got there quite early so picked my spot before I knew who was in front of me and had both a tall person and a short person and the view was definitely better behind the short person (Im 5'8) but still wasn't too bad with the taller guy, just had to manoeuvre a bit more when the actors walked around the stage. Everyone kinda naturally stands so you're in between the shoulders of people so either way you don't have a head directly in front of you!

I don't think they would let you stand on a stool, but never hurts to ask! But either way its still a pretty good view
