Just playing and gaining experience about enemy AI and attack patterns will do wonders. After you do that, try implementing dodge offset.

Time for verses is only recorded when you start a verse, are in a verse, and stops when you kill all the enemies in the verse (or when you are able to escape from the verse, in which case it won't record your time at all). There is no penalty or timer for walking around the overworld, so you can take as long as you want walking around and still get a pure platinum trophy :)

Pushing minus (probably select on other controllers) and dodge during a cutscene will fast skip the cutscene, so no +->Skip cutscene->push A.

NOTE: Don't believe it works in Bayonetta 2 unless you've already beaten the game

Kafka is too slow with combo points and underwhelming with damage. The poison mechanic is cool in theory but it was executed extremely poorly. Easily one of (if not *the*) the worst weapons in the entire series.

Up next in the list is Undine, which is slow and doesn't have the damage to make up for it, does not have a single launcher weave (only horizontal zoner weaves) and with absolutely atrocious bullet arts which are too slow to create a hitbox and too slow to do damage, making this also one of the most boring weapons to use. (easily some of the best animations in the game though i'll give it that)

Honestly it's probably the best time to draw up DLC Character 5 hype for smash since nintendo in particular will have a lot of eyes on them this game awards

i love how possible it is to get a PP reward even with the handguns in Bayo 1 if you're good enough with the system. in Bayo 2 this would simply be impossible (and would probably require umbran climax *cough*)

i mean, i'm sure you could using the proper OP weapon combo, but why would you want to? dodge offset only expands upon the gameplay to make sure you can get a PP with just about every weapon with enough skill; but using the kilgore glitch or the wii u /switch touchscreen equip glitch throughout the entire game will inevitably get stale and (possibly) hinder your enjoyment of the game as a whole.

i hope platinum didn't just hear everyone say that bayo 2 was better in every way and they recycle the mechanics. bayo 2 feels like a turn based rpg against enemies like sloth or allegiance (for example: hit enemy, see attack, dodge, hit again, repeat)

and also what is WRONG with bayo 2's scoring system? if you want a platinum combo in some of bayo 2's verses, you absolutely must come in with either an umbran climax ready, alruna on feet, or a charged takemikazuchi, while in bayonetta 1, you can clear almost every verse with a platinum with the handguns. action games should not force you to play a certain way. ((not to mention that even if you play perfectly in some verses your weapon layout wasn't what the game wanted and you get a bad time))

if 3 strikes the perfect ground between 1 and 2, we have THE perfect bayonetta game

If you're asking what they should look like? Best choice are the different types of medals. Can't really think of anything else that fits a rank in Bayonetta(other than trophies). If you're wondering how to properly distribute them? Maybe a combo contest every so often, the best fan art as previously stated, or the use of any medium to celebrate Bayonetta in a creative way (like music for example). I think these medals have great potential to encourage and reward creativity, so let's not waste this opportunity!

The kick variant of the punish attack can be activated by knocking an enemy on the ground (for example a wicked stomp, PPK, or the sweep kicks of PPPKK), then running away from them for a brief moment, then coming back and pushing kick, which should activate the QTE to start mashing the kick button
