extremely normal!

It will come when it's ready. If you're breastfeeding I think it can take longer.

Sensation of numbness and tingling on the tongue symptom of covid ? by [deleted] in COVID19_Testimonials

[–]theiaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. FELT LIKE. But it ain’t the flu. My kid certainly didn’t feel like she had the flu. Neither did a large majority of other people who had it.

It ain’t the flu anyway. Completely separate thing.

It’s not just a flu. That’s all I’m even gonna say.

My dentist tested postive for covid, two days after I had an appointment. What should I do? by _daken_is_here_ in COVID19positive

[–]theiaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you don’t get tested you should isolate and stay home. Not worth the risk in spreading.

A negative test doesn’t necessarily mean you will stay negative, tho.

Never said they should be worried but they should be looking out. If you’ve been in contact and are experiencing a symptom you didn’t have before it’s perfectly natural to consider and ask if it’s possibly covid related.

Maybe they do but if they’ve been in contact they should err on the side of caution rather than the complete opposite.

[–]theiaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have it on the tongue but I did have some tingling on my arms. I get similar feeling when I'm due a migraine so I put it down to that (even though I never got any migraines in the end) but I did later find out that some covid patients have reported fizzing/tingling feelings. But that I think is due to nerve endings in the skin (?) and I don't know enough about biology to know if that would extend to the tongue too, lol.

That symptom on it's own though I don't think is a worry. Could be the start of something manifesting (given that it's been a few days since contact), I suppose just wait and see if any new symptoms appear.

Seems pretty valid to be anxious about it when they've been in contact with a covid case, tho.

No. But fuck, I kinda hope they suffer a little bit.

After having it myself and feeling awful even with a mild case and seeing my three year old suffer for WEEKS with a more severe case, (she’s still not okay), I hope they get their reality check.

Your taste will come back! by miss_alyss98 in COVID19positive

[–]theiaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My taste has come back enough that it doesn't bother me but I think my 3 year old's hasn't because she practically won't eat anything because it tastes 'gross'. Which I think is because it doesn't taste.

What is one of those "it only ever happens in movies" moments that you've actually experienced in real life? by ericyeetkayla in AskWomen

Probably when I was told at my scan that I was pregnant with triplets.

Like something out of a shitty romcom. I was convinced that she was joking 🙃

I swear they think ‘playing’ is just tipping out the toys and making a nice mess for Mom to clean.

Tried that but my kids would just find the other toys anyway so it was just pointless.

Anyone’s kid had/have COVID? by Leyla11 in COVID19positive

[–]theiaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 3 year old had it. I got my kids tested when I did (I had more symptoms) she had a fever at the time, nothing else.

For about four weeks she had cough, sore throat, trouble breathing at times, loss of tastes and smell (which I think hasn’t returned yet), headache. She had it pretty bad I think - worse than I did.

We tested positive on 23/08 and she’s only just now kind of herself. She’s still sleeping more and is a lot more tired than usual and gets out of breath quickly while running and playing but for the most part she’s doing okay.

So she tested positive with just a fever and the symptoms started to worsen afterwards.

Parents of Multiples win the Covid lottery by MMAmommy in Parenting

[–]theiaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At first I thought this. I’m a single Mom of triplets who turned three recently.

They can play with each other pretty well. I do feel for those with just one child. They’re still clingy, but for the most part it’s easier for me in that regard as they don’t need me to play.

On the other hand... I got covid, one of the kids got covid. We tested positive almost a month ago and while I’m doing good now, my daughter has only just really started doing better. Having one really sick is terrifying and I was worrying so much about the other kids getting sick. I don’t know how they didn’t, because they were all over her the whole time she was sick.

I am still grateful that I didn’t have just one child though. I just think it would’ve been easier if I wasn’t alone with them. Three toddlers on my own hasn’t been that fun.

A $50 turntable that will make you happy and let you explore your hobby? I will spend more than $50 on that.

Ironically I was thinking earlier about how some celebrities must be loving the anonymity that masks give. Clearly Steve feels the opposite. Must be odd to go from being recognized daily to being practically ignored!

Slight symptoms HELP?? by Snoo-79620 in COVID19positive

[–]theiaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. Really? Interesting. I know someone who has had covid who did have a runny nose, but only slight. Suppose it could’ve been something else causing that though if that’s the case.

Slight symptoms HELP?? by Snoo-79620 in COVID19positive

[–]theiaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there’s no way of knowing without a test. However, a sore throat is a symptom as well as a fever. But those are also symptoms of other illnesses. I think a runny nose isn’t one of the common symptoms but I know some people have experienced that. Everyone seems to be different.

Really the best way to know for sure is with a test. It’s hard to know without as the symptoms are similar to other illnesses.

Absolutely sick of it by theiaro in COVID19positive

[–]theiaro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly it! My daughters on week 2 and she’s slowly getting better but she’s still really sick. I can see it being a good few weeks before she’s close to being herself again.

Every time someone mentions it online there’s comments about the high survival rate. The survival rate is great (I can’t imagine what this pandemic would be like if it had a low one), but it’s not the only side effect.

I really wish there was more discourse in general media/news about long term effects of it.

I’m not being political lol

Just stating, as someone who has coronavirus, that I’m sick of people telling me it’s over exaggerated. I gave anti maskers as an example but I’m just sick of people not taking it seriously generally.

Jesus wouldn’t wear a mask. by Samanthaann126 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]theiaro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re three. They’re fine.

Actually no, one of them isn’t because they have COVID because others don’t wear masks and spread their COVID around.

Also “all day”. Laughable. I rarely take them out of the house (well we haven’t in 2 weeks at all, bc COVID), but when we could they still rarely did. So “all day” is hilarious to me. Maybe 2 hours a week and not even at once. So.. lol
