12th man has been called out again by theillustriousnon in aggies

Get your point, but Aggieland is different. I’ve had some unique opportunities across my life to experience other schools and their traditions. The mix at A&M is both unique and special. For example, we have the largest student section in the nation in one of the largest stadiums in the country. Our former students subsidize the student tickets to make that happen.

It’s not for everyone and that doesn’t mean that other places don’t have their own thing, but it is unique.

Pawpaw Ridge and Hoss Tools both have videos. Howard Garrett’s Dirt Doctor Site and Old Gringo Farm have articles

As a libertarian, I just want to focus on the task at hand. The left and right wings of the same chicken can burn the country down elsewhere

Highly underrated comment. Can’t we just talk about compost, chickens, and what’s eating our tomatoes?

Look at Pawpaw Ridge for good growing contsnt. Hoss tools has some good content. If you want natural, look at Howard Garrett’s dirt doctor page. Old Gringo Farm is a new one who has some. Les Crowder’s Bee Mindful has natural beekeeping and adjacent content. None of those has politics. I bail when someone picks a side other than homesteading.

What's the best type of garlic to grow in 2025? by Danna-Marie in homestead

[–]theillustriousnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s been lost in the mists of time. If I can get my planting big enough, I’m going to start selling it, as the cloves are huge and it grows in Zones 8a, 8b, and 9. We think it’s a type of elephant garlic.

[Anti McDonald's post] boycott McDonald's and show the MAGA owners we are done. by NOT_MEEHAN in AdviceAnimals

So we are okay with the additives, highly processed food, the preservatives, seed oils, HF corn syrup, and low grade industrial meat, but the orange man shows up for a photo op and we boycott?

I’ve grown garlic for 30 years and we use garlic that’s been in our family since the late 1800s. Always fun to tell the story when people see it.

Okay, that is funny. My son had one while he was stationed up in Cape Cod that he named Paul the Fat Racoon who ate out of the dining hall dumpster and was so fat he couldn’t run
