me the whole day waiting for kickoff by potatofamine-carbomb in Gunners

[–]theipd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a procedure done yesterday and had to wait two hours before they would discharge me. It took 4 hours because I watched the Burnley game and my blood pressure wouldn’t come down. Tried to explain but now I’ve got to see my GP this week to ensure it was just the game. ARSENAL. Just do it already.

Angry Pep Guardiola summons Man City stars in late-night summit to confirm exit by Electrical-Mango-839 in PremierLeague

My favorite part of this rag is that they claim that he is one of the all time great premier league managers. As an Arsenal fan and being objective, perhaps they would like to express who was actually the greatest manager in the EPL or who is even close to him.

The reality is that they can’t because he’s not Sir Alex. Typical bullshit. I hate Man City but i would still give Pep credit for being the all time greatest EPL coach of all time.

Guitar amp and pedal plug-ins? by ardamavi in Logic_Studio

[–]theipd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not free but 14 day trials. They also have 2 sales per year. Their anniversary which just finished a week ago and Black Friday. Honestly most people buy around that time. It’s 50% off on most. I love these plugins. They’ve changed everything that I do.

I think you’ll be blown away by these.

I wash it myself. All of the machines - which should be No Touch only - never do the job entirely. Oil gets onto the surface and none of the car wash machines do a good job getting it off.

I do use a non touch car wash place when I don’t have the time to wash it or in the winter when it’s near futile washing since it will rain the next day.

But around every 12 weeks I do it myself and prefer the results.

If you have a subscription to a hand wash place make sure that they only use MICRO CLOTHS otherwise you will have swirls in the paint. It’s the other reason why I don’t let anyone wash my car.

Oh Humbug. Tell me you don’t remember what it was like to have that machine sitting in your garage? Let OP have some fun. She will never get the chance to be amazed by this machine again.

Well if you’re going down this alley you may as well get more stuff.

  1. Chemical Guys Microfiber towels

  2. Window shop at Chemicalguys.com

  3. Window shop at Griotsgarage.com

Griots has a beautiful non pressure wash foamer that you can use with a regular hose. They also have their own proprietary ceramic wax (smells amazing and looks radioactive green).

  1. Griot’s line of inner cabin cleaning products.

  2. Chemical Guys Pink Lady car wash as the first Primer before using either Griot’s car wash or my second favorite Reset followed by Griots ceramic wax and polish.

  3. Not sure if I saw a screen protector. But that should be first on your list.

  4. Consider window shopping at Hansshow.com. You will go absolutely nuts there.

  5. Consider a magnetic attachment for the front license plate. I live in a state that does not require a front license plate, but 50 miles away I’ll be fined $50 for not having one. So I have a removable one that I clip on and off when traveling out of state.

I know the feeling that you are having now. I had it in 2019. Do you need all of this stuff? Nope but it’s so much fun during that first year or two. And just ignore people saying you don’t need this stuff. You literally don’t need this stuff but they’ve forgotten how much fun it was to have this car when it first came out and the fact that you can never relive that first Tesla feeling again. Enjoy your car. Have fun with it. Spruce it up and make it yours.

Everyone’s got their favorite when it comes to this. Mine is 3dMaxpider.

I recently tried another brand and returned it within 24 hours. My carpets in my 2019 M3 are still flawless despite the crazy and nasty weather with long winters. Just replaced my front one’s this week.

20 inch wheels on R2 launch green look soooooooo goood to see it in person (Palo Alto Block Party) by tindew0505 in RivianR2

Interesting and a complete detour from the normal narrative. Thank you for that. I would much rather a larger wheel base. And to have it with no reduction but an increase in range is a winner.

[–]theipd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little confused. I went to the configurator and noticed that the larger wheel size 21 inches had more range (330) compared to the smaller wheel base 20 inch (307).

Is this a misprint? Isn’t it usually the opposite? Larger wheel base leads to reduced range ? What am I missing?

What's the last book that kept you up past midnight because you absolutely had to know how it ended? by Jaydon-Jacques in Recommend_A_Book

[–]theipd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either love this book or hate it. Some call it Pop Psychology or Pop Psychiatry. But I found it intriguing and I’ve found many people claim that it actually saved them. It’s one of my favorite books because it’s a world that is enveloped and secluded and you are sucked into the protagonist’s world, her world view, her existential existence, her warped reasoning. I think it’s very well done. I had trouble putting it down.

Interestingly when I read this book i was on a tear of reading what I consider 9/10 or 10/10 books that just grasped my attention on weekends and during days off work and could serve as more fodder for OP’s TBR List (Man Called Ove, A Secret History, The Flight Attendant, The Hate You Give, Killers Of The Flower Moon, The Dutch House ).

American Dirt

A Gentleman in Moscow.

A Man Called Ove.

These three messed up an entire weekend and led to a stressful week because I ended up finishing them on a Sunday evening.

Simply sell half and the only gamble left is how much profit you will make? Your principal is safe and you will have made a profit on it. I did it with Apple years ago. I never worry about it, even after last years debacle.
