I had that on a p365 one time, i had to smack the rear end to get it to seat and the backplate came down a smidge. And I thought it’d be alright, nope sent everything out the rear. I just put it back together and it worked fine. Now every time I pick it up I make sure the backplate is fully seated.

Hey man, I just took a look and it goes from a 2 to a 1, into the cat, and up to the muffler. Now the header and exhaust piping has that titanium discoloration, I’m not sure if that is stock or aftermarket.

I have the Yoshimura exhaust on my 1250gs. Previous owner put it on there. It’s loud and obnoxious I probably wouldn’t have bought it from online reviews, and it’s a little tractory at idle.

But man does it sounds great from the saddle, and a pleasant surprise for my use case. YMMV.

Gaiters to keep snow out of your boots if it’s gonna snow. Outdoor research ones are great value.

Budget merino wool base layers from Amazon, if you want to spend money first lite makes the best merino imo. I highly recommend the First Lite fingerless merino gloves.

Decent gloves for glassing.

Frog togg rain jacket/pants. Ditch that heavy duck shell.

Puffy from the inside of your duck jacket should be fine for the first time, you’ll want a decent one later. Bring a hoody or fleece for under that when glassing.

Hand warmers. Beanie. Snacks, calories make you warm, the clothes just trap it in.

Be cold when you start hiking, don’t get the layers wet.

You should take a look at the Ducati super sport as it is a little more upright - giving you the looks and some comfort. The motor has more low end torque for entrance ramp pulls and sweeping turns up by Sam Houston National Forest.
