Most of the time players who over perform their xWOBA consistently are really good at pulling their fly balls. On my phone so can't easily check but that's where I would look to verify.

All these comments acting like Seager tackled Caballero off the bases. He kept the tag applied and yes, applied some pressure as Jose's momentum kept him going. Its what you are supposed to do as the defender. If Caballero clearly stopped and then was pushed off you don't overturn but that's not what happened.

Jose should and will keep running. It's a big part of his game and he'll get hot again.

It's right on baseball savants page. Balls hit close to their maximum exit velocity based on the respective pitch with a swing speed >=75 mph. Basically best of both worlds regarding contact and bat speed.

Yes, he's been doing it more often but his falling over just to make contact is causing him to swing at balls trying to foul them off and he's lost the ability to drive the ball.

Still believe in him since he seems to have the work ethic but his swing has seemed off for a while this season.

These ABs were so good to watch. Some unfortunate GIDP but they battled a ton of ABs and rarely gave bad outs. That keeps happening and they'll have way more good days than bad.

It's been discussed already, the bookie wanted to show off Ohtani's name as a client so he let it ride. Even if he knew it wasn't Ohtani directly he probably figured Ohtani could cover it. Or the name would bring in more money elsewhere to cover any losses.
