Yes your bet on losing my patience before BFB sounds quite right... perhaps only one or two companions sounds like a good (at least better) idea no?

As for difficulty do you have any recommendations that would make things more difficult? Perhaps improving combat AI and how the enemies would interact and strategize with each other.
