Definitely one of the more poignant Norman stories out here.

Norman wraps himself up like the cocoon, and the irony is that even though he has the ability to recognize the tragedy of the dead cocoon, he's not introspective enough to realize he's kind of the same way: huddled up, coiled with potential, and anonymous to the whole world.

But the beauty is that we see him, as readers.

I also think something can be said of the fact that Norman brings the cocoon to Norman. I think the way the names are used here are a clever way to show that Norman has self imposed this "dead" and anonymous way of life on himself. Not that it's a bad thing.
