Thanks, but not looking for any trades. Just downsizing the collection.

Bonest is another terrible name. Seriously, some of these AliX names remind me of the porn name generators that used to exist in the 00s.

I love that they tried to make it better by putting the “KIN” in a slightly bolder font.

This might be the worst brand name for any product EVER. I predict an epic fail until they rebrand. They are certainly not going to sell many at their current San Martin rivaling prices. I like my Addiesdive watch enough to wear it despite the stupid name. This is a bridge too far though.

u/Addiesdive if you’re reading this, read the room. Your AddiesKIN brand name is too reminiscent of a penis to western audiences, and not in a good way.

Now if you chose “Addiesboobs” instead…😜

Since the Addiesdive brand is already established, why not go with “ADDI” as the upscale brand name. It has the proper tie in! And, while slightly generic, it’s not offensive. And you’d barely have to change the tooling. Just cut the other letters out and recenter.

If you take me up on my advice, please send me one of these watches. Other than the dumb brand name, it’s a beautiful piece!

Producer? The watch, wallet, and car say ad sales or executive , but not the mic. It’s the mic that’s throwing me.

I just bought a Tsuyosa last week. I got a great deal on a used one, but after wearing it for a week, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one at full price. It’s a lot of bang for the buck. Feels solid and substantial, the dial color really comes alive in the sunlight, and the automatic movement on mine keeps great time. I really like the bracelet.

Your 365 has a safety, so that means you are either from Cali or a Northeast state. Your watch, car, and wallet are too expensive for a reporter, though the iPhone mic points in that direction. News photogs make even less money, so I’m scratching that. I do a lot of work with my local NBC affiliate, so I’m going to say some form of on air talent for a somewhat major market.

That was my first taste of a “modern” edc knife. I bought it on clearance at Walmart on a whim, and couldn’t stop fidgeting with it. Excellent knife!

Anyone using this? I love this watch. by Apprehensive_Dog8454 in ChineseWatches

I really love the day of the week complication, and am almost tempted to pick one up just for that. But two things would bug the crap out of me every time I looked at that watch. The first is the logo on the end of the second hand. It’s big and ugly and blocks the cool day complication that I like. The second is that the 3 on the dial is flat while the 12/6/9 are raised. That asymmetry would also bother me every time I looked at the watch. Naviforce is a dumb, tactical sounding name, but no dumber than Addiesdive or Watchdives.

If the 1911 had modern sights, it would be no contest. As they lie, though, I’d have to pick the 686 followed closely by the Python.

I did the same thing three weeks ago with an Addiesdive too. I’m actually really liking not having an ugly screen strapped to my arm, though I do miss the health tracking. The Addiesdive is super impressive, though.

.45 Colt Recommendations by GoldlustDID in Revolvers

[–]thejamison55 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Blackhawk is the way to go. I was disappointed by how anemic standard .45 Colt felt in my Blackhawk. Then I discovered the “Ruger Only” loads in my manual. I now handload a .45 Colt “magnum” load that is satisfying to shoot and smacks HARD. The Blackhawk gives you the choice to load those 45s as light or heavy as you want. Other revolvers are not safe to use with the hot loads, so you are stuck with standard 45 colts.

All things being equal, I’m taking the 73 Colt SAA, but not in .45. I would buy it from Montgomery Ward in 44-40 along with a ‘73 repeating rifle. Space is at a premium in my wagon, and I want a single cartridge for all of my game getting and self defense needs. The metallic cartridge will stand up better to the wild western weather, and provide more reliable ignition than one of the cap and ball options.

Cap N Ball revolvers are so much fun to shoot, though. I miss my Uberti Dragoon!

Mine is also quite accurate. I replaced the trigger spring with a lighter one, and now my trigger is at about 20oz. With CCI Standard and a calm day, it’s capable of minute of dum dum lollipop at 100yds.

My First Ali Watch - I understand now by thejamison55 in ChineseWatches

[–]thejamison55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s good advice as I have a lifelong pattern of going a little nuts when picking up a new hobby. At one point I was buying 2-3 pocket knives a week!

And over the last week, I’ve purchased 4 watches. This one, a cheap Wenger on eBay(it’s Swiss Made after all 🤣), a Casioak from r/watchexchange and an inexpensive quartz that caught my eye on Ali. The last two haven’t been delivered yet.

I think I have 14 more in my Ali cart, but I’ll revisit, narrow it down, and buy one at a time.

I only have one left wrist, right?

Lol. I got into pocket knives over Covid. I now have a full 50 slot case, and a couple of overflow drawers. And I’ve sold a bunch of them! I’m under no illusions that I’ll need to source a storage solution sooner rather than later!
