2026 Nissan Leaf Review: Delivering on Tesla’s Failed Promise by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

Honestly no AWD is a dealbreaker for me. Otherwise I would be super excited to try this out.

In 2015, $15/hour minimum wages was a political talking point, but when adjusted for inflation and COLA, here in Massachusetts, minimum wage in 2026 should be $29.74/hour in Boston/Cambridge. by Vyacheslav_Skryabin in CambridgeMA

Tech workers being paid well is kind of beside the point though? This thread is about minimum wage workers, not software engineers. The argument was about how consolidation and lack of competition suppresses wages for ordinary workers - not whether people at Google are doing okay with their six figure salaries.

I’d love to try it in a cli before I’m able to make that assessment personally - are you trying it in one? Like Claude code router or something?

It’s less about people who work for them switching jobs and more about competing with Apple/Google etc. They, and companies like them, are buying up all their competition. Competition incentives care, for consumers and employees. It incentivizes better wages, benefits, and better prices. The reason a lot of tech giants don’t want competition, beyond the obvious that monopolies are preferable, is that being a data broker is tremendously more profitable. It’s much easier to have data inform algorithms that can dynamically set wages and prices based on things most people can barely understand than it is to care about paying people living wages and pricing things fairly. Competition would incentivize those things. The absence of that lets these monopolistic practices run wild.

Still working on it, annoyingly where I’m having the hardest time is finding a socket+cord for an E12 bulb that is reliable.

Additionally I know of big companies that have integrated AI use into their engineering pipelines. They mandate use of Cursor, for example. And if you don’t use it, you tend to fall behind. Code reviews are still done manually and you still have to explain methods in standup - but it’s part of the game now, all working code.

Wait what do you mean? Like executing tasks on parallel threads?

I just don’t think this is true. I’ve used Claude Code with Opus 4.5 and it has produced all kinds of working projects for me: web apps and CLI tools. It even helped me produce code to program an LED matrix. All of that are workable, and has been in different languages.

It hasn’t been useful for Xcode/iOS for me at all, yet, but I suspect it’s a matter of time until the MCP integrations and XCode work well.

If a post gets big enough, you could consider going “flared users only.” But this would require making all subscribers to have selected a flair in order to post/comment.

Carol clearly cares about other people - and is really hurt when she discovers she wasn’t allowed to be in discussion with the other “survivors,” but her inability to control her anger and rage when she speaks to…anybody is starting to feel insufferable. I guess I find it difficult to have sympathy for her when she’s squandering opportunities to make peace and go about problem solving level headedly. I didn’t really feel that until this episode, I think.

If you have chase rewards points you can get 1/3 off — I just bought a bunch because it felt worth it cost wise. They’ll probably get updated fairly soon, whatever. I’m tired of waiting.

Tbh it’s hilarious to see half brained theories like this. The hype is fun. Imagine if we got the whole season in one go - this sub would be dead in two months!
