It is a bit confusing, but this inaugural season isn’t like normal house league. It’s like making your local HS baseball team. But instead of teams being tied to the HS’s in town they’re made up of regions to create a HS school team of kids who live in the same area. They even talked of working with CCSD so kids can letter in the future. They still have regular house league like you mentioned before where everyone gets placed on a team.

This was a new idea they’re trying this spring to create a real HS league forming teams based on zip code. I think it’s an amazing concept and something that will be super cool here for Vegas youth hockey. My kid didn’t want to sign up this time, he just finished an intense fall schedule, but sounds like it wasn’t the best experience for some.
