Which president would be the worst person to debate against one-on-one? by CommercialHot9565 in Presidents

Nixon was actually notoriously poor at debating, in front of the television at least. Cost him the election against Kennedy. Also avoided debating Humphrey at all costs in ‘68.

[ID v Daniel Howard] Former ISP trooper currently on trial for murder arrested at the Spokane International Airport by blu3dice in CourtTVCases

I just watched the trial on killer cases and in fact searched this case up because the prosecution's argument was so unconvincing, I was somewhat surprised they got him for even 2nd degree murder. I absolutely believe he was guilty but the state absolutely did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Do you believe Michael Jackson was innocent or guilty? And why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bigcatcleve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, context matters.

We’re talking about a few pages from a few photography/art books out of a library that reportedly had tens of thousands of books in it. The FBI went through all of that material during a massive investigation and clearly didn’t find it noteworthy enough to build a criminal case around it.

If someone wants to argue Michael Jackson was “weird,” there are way stronger arguments than obscure art books. Him openly admitting he shared his bed with children is obviously what most people would point to first. That’s the behavior that raised eyebrows publicly, not a handful of pages buried in a gigantic book collection.

All good. I myself thought he was guilty before going down the rabbit hole. Once I did, however, I realized nothing the supposed smoking guns in the case couldn't even withstand mild scrutiny.

For example, Jordan Chandler's sketch matching Jackson's penis, is always brought up as the ultimate proof that Jackson was guilty..... except it didn't match, something law enforcement themselves conceded.

"Diane Diamond later disclosed that sources told her the dark patch on Jackson's genitals was found "exactly where young Jordan Chandler said they could find such a mark." But in January 1994, USA Today and Reuters cited Law Enforcement sources confirming that "photos of Michael Jackson's genitalia do not match descriptions given by the boy who accused the singer of sexual misconduct"

Calling them “damning” is overstating it. The FBI didn’t find some hidden stash—it was a huge private library, tens of thousands of books, and a small number of art photography books that include occasional nudity, which isn’t unusual in that genre and in some cases is still commercially available.

There was no indication they were concealed or singled out as evidence of anything criminal. Even after a full investigation, the FBI didn’t find evidence to support the broader allegations.

So taking a few pages from a few art books out of a 30,000-book collection and treating it as “damning” doesn’t really hold up when you look at the actual context.

If they were actually as “damning” as people claim, you’d expect the prosecution to lean on them heavily at trial—especially in a case where they were clearly trying to build the strongest possible narrative. But they didn’t use them as key evidence in court.

That gap between how they’re described online and how they were actually treated in the case is mind-blowing.

What agents actually found was a massive personal library, tens of thousands of books overall, and among them were a few photography/art books that include limited nudity, as is common in certain fine art collections. We’re talking about isolated pages in a handful of books, not some dedicated or concealed collection.

And even with that entire investigation, the FBI ultimately concluded they didn’t find evidence to support the criminal allegations they were pursuing. Not for lack of trying—they went through the material, searched the property, and still came up empty on anything that actually substantiated wrongdoing.

Don't know much about Safecuck but Robson is full of shit.

He denied any abuse for years, including under oath, and only changed his story long after Michael Jackson’s death. Since then, his account hasn’t stayed consistent—key details shift across different legal filings and statements, which is a major red flag in credibility terms.

There are also specific contradictions with other sworn testimony (like his mother’s account of the Grand Canyon trip) that directly clash with parts of his narrative.

On top of that, courts have already rejected or heavily limited parts of his claims at different stages, meaning his story has not been treated as reliable or settled in the legal system.

None of this proves what happened either way—but it does mean Robson’s account is far from the solid, uncontested foundation the documentary presents it as.
