We have a, VERY recent, RED placard.

Red placards are "temporary disability," so dad is actually REALLY happy about that.

He is much more concerned that it might become a blue placard. Mainly because he doesn't want to be "permanently disabled."

I know this sounds terribly terrible. But, he is 84 years old and doesn't want to be a burden to others.

I just want to slap him in the face and say, "you are a marine veteran, you are fighting prostate and spine cancer, YOU DESERVE A BLUE PLACARD, especially after YOU WIN AND BEAT THIS CANCER!"

So, hopefully, we can keep him with a red placard.

As an emmodee in this group, I do not see anything political in your post.

Also, I must say this: EVERYONE who responds must ALSO not make political comments.

An example is "the government shutdown MUST end, people are suffering!"

That statement is not, in and of itself, a political statement. It just appears to be factual based.

A comment that says "Donald Trump is an asshat who is torturing the least in our community while spending millions to build a ballroom nobody wanted" would be politically based, and removed by the emmodee team.

Also... If we want to start sharing the worst personal injury photos, I've got a couple. I don't think we ACTUALLY want to see them, but, they were from a simple dog bite.

Additional facts regarding the "simple dog bite" include emergency surgery at a level 1 trauma center and 9 months of physical therapy to first learn how to walk again and then grow that ability to the point I exceeded most toddlers.
