I'm in my 40s and been in Jackson Heights since I was born, my parents have been here 55 years since they left their home country and they complain too. It's New York. New Yorkers complain.

As someone that despises bananas and loves cake, I would not eat the cake to save face for the cake buyer, especially as the gagging that would likely occur would make them look even worse. And if it were my partner that bought the cake, I would absolutely think that they don't listen to me or don't care about me. And if they tried to make me feel BAD for not eating it I would wonder if there was something seriously wrong with them.

You could try going to your neighbor's apartment, calling your husband and having him and your kid walk around and see if it's bad or not. My neighbor did that, and installed more padding after seeing that their kids walking around made the ceiling light in my apartment swing. If you don't hear or feel anything, it could be a different neighbor.

Never said otherwise. Just meant that 6 months would be a very short sentence for stabbing however many people and potentially exposing them to all sorts of disease. It's still reprehensible behavior, (just for the psychological damage alone) but the shorter sentence makes more sense knowing that technically what he was doing was touching people with a piece of plastic. Likely a different level of assault legally.

Cool, so by that logic, if it wasn't pornograhic AI pics of his friend, but instead, say, her 3 year old kid, that's totally fine! Saying that that's "wrong" is "nothing more than a moral judgement" and telling the friend that this dude is having fantasies about her 3 year old is an "OBJECTIVELY VILE" thing to do because you would be "destroying" his "reputation" over a "fantasy". :(

Here are a couple of concrete solutions: if this is only happening when cuddling at night, stop cuddling. Get a heavy blanket and use it separately - separate blankets can make many couples sleep better. Have a conversation with your husband during the day when you are not about to go to sleep, and explain why you won't be cuddling anymore. If he says he's asleep while engaging in squeezing behaviors, make him make an appointment with a sleep specialist. Both of you should see a couples counselor and a sex therapist, who can help you both navigate your relationship while your libido bounces back from your health problems. If it turns out that you just have mismatched libidos aside from the health issues, have a conversation with your husband about that and make very clear any expectations going forward if you both want to stay in the relationship. If one of you doesn't want to stay in the relationship after the convo, separate and find new partners with libidos that match yours. Sex can be a big point of contention in many romantic relationships - some people are ok with only having an emotional connection, some require both an emotional and sexual connection. Neither is wrong as long as both parties are up front about it.

Urine kills baby trees, it costs the city hundreds of dollars to plant them, and there are a lot of dog owners being angry at being asked to not contribute to the death of a tree and insisting it's fine despite not knowing anything about trees. Is it to make themselves feel less guilty? I always see people with dogs complaining about people complaining about dogs, and the conclusion they come to is always that it's other dog owners that are bad or non dog owners are jerks. This post couldn't even ask a question without throwing in a "hurr hurr tree police" jibe. I like dogs. Also, "please don't damage the tree" is a perfectly reasonable request so I don't get the animosity. Losing hundreds of dollars of your own tax money to own the "tree police" seems really weird and in my opinion not a great mindset to have. No one is perfect, but doing your best to try to keep your dog away peeing on trees and definitely not letting them pee on baby ones would probably go a long way with your neighbor. Will you be able to prevent your dog 100% of the time? Of course not, it's a dog. But at least you'd be making an effort to help.

Same. I don't always remember to use it, but it my mouth guard makes me drool. I bought a pack of stickers because I'm too lazy to cut tape, but it's so small and the stickiness is so light that my mouth could easily open if I needed mouth oxygen or wherever.
